We now know the three groups that will make up the Algarve Cup 2018 (February 28 - March 7). Since 1994, this international friendly tournament has brought together twelve national teams in the south of Portugal. In Group 1, the host country will face Australia, Norway and South Korea alternately. Group 2 will face two big pieces, namely Sweden and Canada, plus China and Russia. But it is group 3 that will grab the most attention. Indeed, Denmark will find the Netherlands, for a rematch of the last Euro in 2017. The Danes had lost 2-4 in the final against the Dutch. Japan and Iceland will finally complete this group 3.
To succeed Spain
Three teams will finish first of their group. But of these three teams, only the two who have collected the most points at the end of their three group matches will compete in the final. All the others will compete in ranking matches, according to their place in their respective group. Last March, Spain won the trophy, winning the final against Canada 1-0.
