Since Friday, the schedule of the Cyprus Women's Cup 2018 (Cyprus Tournament) has been known. This friendly competition has been held annually since 2008. From February 28 to March 7, 2018, twelve teams divided into three groups will compete on the grounds of the Mediterranean island. Group A includes Finland, Italy, Switzerland and Wales. Austria will face Belgium, Czech Republic and Spain in Group B. Finally, Hungary, Slovakia, South Africa and Trinidad and Tobago will form Group C.
At the end of the group stage, the first teams of group A and B will compete in the final, while the first team of group C will play the match for third place against the best second group A and B. the other teams will compete in classification matches, depending on their results in group stages. On March 7th, during the final, we will know the team that will succeed Switzerland on the charts. The Swiss team defeated South Korea 1-0 in the final last year, thanks to a goal from Lara Dickenmann.
