For their entry in the running, the Bleuettes faced a team that did not succeed in 2016, with a final confrontation to the advantage of England (3-1) in a friendly tournament held in Northern Ireland. This time, the scenario did not repeat for the Tricolores, who managed to return to the score and hang 1-1 draw.

At the friendly tournament in Northern Ireland, after triumphing unchallenged against the host country, the U19 team lost ground against the United States (3-1) and against the same English (3-1). Three confrontations in five days that have worn out the young players. It was then a tournament which allowed above all to "locate the team and see all the work remaining to be done before competing the Elite Tour" next April, as stipulated by Gilles Eyquem. The Manga would therefore serve as a "rehearsal" for the U19 French team before the fateful challenge that awaits them in view of their participation in the Euro U19, 2017.

Everything had started in bad conditions for the Tricolores, who conceded a goal against their side in the 20th minute of play, Agathe Maetz. Les Bleuettes will not be able to come back in the first half.
