In the final clap of the friendly tournament of La Manga, the France U19 team faced the United States. A formidable team, who took the lead by winning 2-0.
The players of Gilles Eyquem were dominated at the beginning of the match, and took the first goal in the 22nd minute, on a realization of Sophia Smith. An attacker who is in her fourth of the tournament.
In second half the Tricolores want to return to the score but face a stoic opponent team, who wants to keep his gap. Until taking his second goal in the 70th minute, transformed by Kelsey Turnbow.
Les Bleuettes will now be looking to the Euro 2017 Elite Tour, which will be played from 6 to 11 April in the Netherlands. They will then have to win their place for the tournament, against Portugal, Slovenia and the Netherlands.
