The FIFA Competition Organizing Committee unveiled the U17 World Cup calendar on Thursday in Zurich. The competition will take place in Uruguay, from November 13 to December 1, 2018.
Three cities have been selected to host the thirty-two matches of this competition: the Uruguayan capital Montevideo, Maldonado and Colonia. Of the thirty-two games played by the sixteen participating squads, eighteen will be competing on the artificial turf at Charrúa Stadium in Montevideo, including two of the host country's three group stage games. In addition, Montevideo will host two quarter-finals, the two semi-finals, the match for third place and the grand final.
The Colonia Alberto Suppici stadium will host eight matches, including Uruguay's last in the group stage and the first day of the quarter-finals. Finally, Miguel de Maldonado's Domingo Burgueño stadium will host six group stage matches. These two speakers will offer a natural lawn.
The group stages will start on November 13th and will end on November 21st. They will be interspersed with rest days. The quarter-finals will take place on November 24 and 25, the semi-finals on November 28. Finally the match for third place and the final will take place on December 1st.
