Lyon qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League after their 9-0 win against Ajax Amsterdam. A wide success at home that confirms the result of the first leg in the Netherlands, and allows the triple defending champions to prepare for a new European spring.

Despite the victory of the first leg (4-0) and an already comfortable advantage for the qualification, the Lyonnaises gave the impression to start from scratch at kickoff. In front of their audience, on the lawn of the OL Training Center, the teammates of Wendie Renard quickly made speak the powder.

Lyon chokes Ajax early in the match
It is Delphine Cascarino who is the first to be illustrated with a double in the first minutes of play. From the 4th minute, she offers a goal of high class, served right side on a change of wing. Cascarino chooses to transplant in the axis and escapes three opposing defenders along the surface. Arrived at the 16-meter mark, she fired a shot from the left which was flush with Lize Kop's right post (4th, 1-0).

Cascarino scores on an individual action then at the conclusion within 6 meters on a center of Amel Majri. Initially, we find Ada Hegerberg back to the goal, who manages to serve Majri in the left lane. The center of Majri finds Cascarino, and Lyon already leads 2-0 (8th).

OL are insatiable, with a trio of midfielders who do not hesitate to come very close to the players of Ajax on their first raises. A Lyon midfield in which we found Amandine Henry who was returning after an injury earlier this month in the French team.

Griedge Mbock offers himself a triplet
Lyon is coming off quickly, with Wendie Rernard adding the third goal in Ajax, taking advantage of a counter-goal against Lize Kop (17th, 0-3). It was then Griedge Mbock who found the net on free-kick, with a shot by the defender tricolor to 18 meters, deflected by the wall and cheating Lize Kop in front of his line (22nd, 4-0).

Before the half hour of play, the games are already made and Ajax without means to replicate in this part. The score remains 4-0 until the break, despite new opportunities Lyon. The return of the locker room, the situation seems the same with Lyon who continues to trouble Ajax and eventually add a new goal before the hour of play.

On a corner of Selma Bacha right side, the ball reaches Ada Hegerberg at the far post. In the six meters of Ajax, the recovery of Hegerberg's head is deflected in his own goal by Line Roddik (56th, 0-5).

Corners on which Lyon will score four goals in the second half, including two new achievements for Griedge Mbock (62nd and 89th) which is a tripling in this meeting. Lucy Bronze also scored the last goal of the game on a corner kick, with a new ball distilled at the far post by Selma Bacha (90 + 3, 0-9).

See you in the spring
Entering for the last half hour, Dzsenifer Marozsan did not fail to deliver some excellent balloons, on set pieces but also this center right side to Amel Majri in the 69th minute. At the far post, the Lyon striker started towards the goal, ahead of Liza van der Most to deflect the ball and find the net.

Even more spectacularly than in the first leg, Lyon displayed its collective superiority with a win over both matches. Hard European apprenticeship for Ajax, while the rest of the competition will wait for spring for the title holders of Lyon.

Quarter-finals whose posters will be known at the end of the draw scheduled on November 9th.
