It is a coach rather satisfied with his group, less of the attitude around this game, we had on the phone after PSG / Albi. Adolphe Ogouyon expressed some bitterness about the dispute that saw Albi recover three points on the green carpet, after a Parisian was registered on the score sheet at this meeting. A situation that marked a certain atmosphere, electric, between the two clubs.
The match summary => D1: Paris confirms against a team from Albi solidaire
Football Hearts - How did you feel about this match against Paris?
A.O. - Yes, well, we did not really play at our level. The team was a little modified, you saw it, we had only fourteen players because there is our reserve team DH, who played his maintenance [Sunday]. It was the last day of the championship, so they had to win to keep up. Second thing, there were also the [players] suspended. So obviously we arrived with a reduced staff, including two babysitters. In Albi we also have a very limited staff so replacing the players who are used to play together is a little complicated. This was not the case in Paris, where there was a turnover that was positive for them.
We ran out of automation and we came across a good team from Paris. With good players and we have never been able to do our game. That's what happens to us at the end of the season, it was the case last year, when we had enough points, and we thought that we were maintained, we release a little pressure and when we release the pressure and our strength can not be compared to that of Paris, necessarily it weakens us.
In the second half we put a little more impact but it was not enough. We still won a match there are 15 days in Guingamp, a team that took a point in Paris just before (3-3). So today we would have wanted to leave at least with a point.
Football Hearts - We saw that in the second half, you started a little more, because you put three attackers in tip if I'm not wrong?
AO - Yes yes yes we modified the team, to bring a little more approval in the good term and in the recovery of the ball but also in attack because in the first half we were completely nonexistent on the plan offensive. Our attacker was often isolated so we tried to get him the support he needed but good and more she played injured so with the reduced squad it was complicated, especially with injured players.
Soccer Hearts - It was a learning match against Paris, before your next deadline may be?
A.O. - Yes, but we had not come for that. We finished our apprenticeship [of the D1] it's been three years that Albi is in D1 so we consider that it is acquired. We are growing up. It's not annondin anyway when we win at Guingamp, Saint-Etienne. When most of our results were acquired outside. Last year it was the opposite, the best results for the maintenance we acquired at home. This year we won only once at home against Metz. We are still on track to be in D1 next year. We did not respond as we would have liked to today's match. I think there was the opportunity to tickle a little Paris and in addition the four goals are almost identical, on centers. These are situations that girls usually manage.
Football Hearts - How do you motivate your players for a whole season, especially against big teams?
A.O. - In my team, I have four players status already. I have three / four federal contracts, girls working for the club, and for other companies, then students, all of whom are in Toulouse.
So to motivate them [to come to the training] is not always easy already, because before coming to train, they have full days where they will be at the FAC and they are tired when they go home, not before 23h in the evening. They do not have this "professional" status. And it's sure that at the level of motivation it's not easy to get there with such a heterogeneous group but most of these players have been in the club for at least four years. Most have played the climb in D1 and they love this club there. It is already this love of the club that motivates them. We arrived from very low, with a catastrophic start to the season and gradually week after week, month after month, we managed to climb the slope. It was difficult because I too had to adapt my speech so that girls would have fun, continue to train because we usually produce games and create opportunities. Today we managed to find the right balance between competition and good mood."My job is to win [the matches] in the field"
Football Hearts - We can also talk about the three points on green carpet that you may be a little boosted in your swing?
A.O. - Frankly no. Me personally I do not need the three points of Paris to maintain me. As a coach my job is to win [the matches] in the field. Compared to Paris points [on green carpet] we have not asked for anything, we have not made a complaint so I do not see where the problem lies and I deplore the attitude of my colleague, Patrice Lair, vis-à-vis the Albi club and vis-à-vis my person. If Paris lost those points there, to play the Champions League next season, he has only to blame themselves, not us. Compared to the person of the administration who made the error of synchronization of the tablet when they came to play at home and Patrice Lair against himself. Because when you lose against Marseille (2-0), against Montpellier (2-1) and you lose points against Guingamp (3-3) at home after leading 3-0, these are not the points that the awarded rules that make you lose the Champions League. And we have nothing to reproach ourselves with. As much as we want to maintain, without its Paris points. But now if we stay with the Paris points, it will be well done for them.
We have always been told that we are going to have it on the ground and for the moment that is what is looming. Today we have five points in front of Bordeaux, even if we had not three points, we would have two more points and if we win Sunday against Rodez, we stay. Our girls are competitors.
Soccer Hearts - I also noticed that you did not have a great striker in your squad, without disrespecting your squad. Is it something that still hurts your team?
A.O. - Large ie in size or quality (smile). But you know Albi we are a small club, there are people who do not even know how to put Albi on a map, even when Macron made his speech at our last meeting. So other than that, Albi is not really listed in people's memory. Albi is a team that comes from an amateur club. Even boys are not on league promotion. And we have a very small budget so we at the level of recruitment, we prefer at first look around us, around Albi, or around Toulouse, since there is a lot before looking outside . And to have attackers who score goals, we have no budget to give left to right. We are very selective about that. Today we played with number 20 [Pilar Khoury] who is injured, as well as number 25 [Laurie Saulnier] who is injured.
Now if we can win with a goal of difference as against Metz, Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne or Guingamp, that's enough for us.
Football Hearts - To talk about next season, will you stay or as some coach stop?
A.O. - Discussions are taking place. It is very good that I stay until the end of the next season.
Football Hearts - Last question so it concerns your next two deadlines as you told me about Rodez and Soyaux. How do you see these last two games?
A.O. - We have a point in front of Rodez, we are 8th [in the standings] and we want to stay that way. So go work. You know girls will train six times next week to be ready. Otherwise we would not be at this level. We will especially focus on the issue [of this poster] knowing that Rodez is one point behind us, four points ahead of Bordeaux. So they will try to do everything to save themselves, knowing that the last day, they play Montpellier.
It's an exciting end of the season in the bottom of the table and even in the top of the table because there is this match for the second between Paris and Montpellier.
