This Sunday, VGA Saint-Maur received Albi on his Chéron lawn as part of the 13th day of D1. A match that was already decisive for both clubs in the fight for maintenance.
In the hard for several weeks, Albi was moving this weekend with the intention to clinch a fourth victory this season, to blow a little. Opposite, the VGA, very badly in point also in the red zone, had to win to continue to hope and to be put in the fight for the maintenance. The tension, due to the almost decisive nature of this match, was felt in the first minutes of the game. Indeed, if the VGA is more enterprising, including a free kick by Leila Meflah repulsed (2nd) and a header from Marlyse Ngo Ndoumbouk (5th), the start of the match remains largely closed. Both teams are watching each other and no one dares to move forward. Come to win, the Albigensians, however, take about twenty minutes to get a free opportunity.
On a center of Patricia Martinez, Kim Cazeau manages to hit, but his shot goes above (23rd). An opportunity that makes the Saint-Mauriennes react through their Cameroon striker. The latter crushes too much his shot against Patricia Morais (25th). If the game continues to be closed, a game will change the game. On a deep start of Cazeau, the yellow and blue door, Amélie Delvallée, out on the Albigensian striker foot forward. The referee does not hesitate and gives a penalty to Albi, putting a yellow card to the keeper. Manon Rouzies does not tremble behind to convert the sentence, taking Delvallée against (32e, 0-1). Led, the hosts then begin to release even more of their half of ground. However, they expose themselves to the contres of Albi, Condon (38th) and Martinez (40th) putting a cold in the defense Saint-Maurienne on their strikes. A last yellow card for Cazeau following a foul on Delvallée and the half is whistled in Chéron, on the score of 0-1 for Albi.
The fight has long been fierce between the VGA and Albi in this meeting
A score that the Albigensians will rush to enlarge as soon as the locker room returns. On one of their first chances of the second half, they deceive the vigilance of Delvallée thanks to a shot by Laurianne Cervera deflected by the defense Saint-Maurienne (51st, 0-2). Basically, the hosts are not waiting to reduce the score. After having recovered the ball at the entrance of the surface, Ngo Ndoumbouk dribbles three opposing players before deceiving Morais with a point (55th, 1-2). Relaunched, the VGA pushes to equalize but is too imprecise, with a shot by Lilia Boumrar who is close to the right amount of Albi (58th). Ngo Ndoumbouk will even find the bar, following a free kick from Aurore Paprzycki, entered eight minutes earlier (66th). Domineering, the Parisians face however an Albigensian awakening, Delvallée having to use to capture the shot of Rouzies (68th).
In a tight end of the match, the tension goes up a notch when Ngo Ndoumbouk collapses into the surface following an aerial contact without the referee saying anything (77th). By pushing, the VGA will yet end up being trapped. After a strike by Condon picked up by Delvallée (81st), Martinez is opportunistic on the next action. Following a center poorly controlled by Tizi, the Albigensian rises a few meters from the goal line and pushes the ball into the net (84e, 1-3). Stunned, the Saint-Mauriennes will have one last opportunity, the striking of Paprzycki passing over the cages of Morais (85th). Albi manages him his end of the game, getting a last free kick following a foul that will be worth a yellow Tizi (93). Rouzies' strike will not succeed, however. The score will remain at 1-3 this Sunday.
Martinez, on the lookout on the last goal to push the ball at the bottom
Albi therefore leaves with this success, taking 5th place with 29 points, tied with Rodez. After the truce, the Albigensians will face PSG in Charléty in the Coupe de France before moving again seven days later, on the side of Juvisy. The VGA remains stuck in 11th place, five points behind the first non-relegable, Guingamp. The Parisians will have the right to the reception of Nancy in Cup, before a capital new move to the red lantern, Nîmes.
