The Marseille coach, Christophe Parra reacted just after the match lost on the smallest margin against Montpellier (3-2). Interview.

Soccer Hearts - What can we say about this match?

Christophe Parra - The first thing that comes to mind is that we are always last. When we see the content of today's game, mentally and sporting, the group continues its progression and we have already seen in the match against Paris FC. In Coupe de France (facing the AG Caen), we saw a group really anxious to do well, to apply the work done since the beginning of the season. I really want to say, beyond the ranking, that it is very encouraging for the months to come. I think that's where a lot of things are going to play out to decide what to do next. We know we are very confident and we will do it.

I repeat again, girls have always had a lot of application in the work. It is us, coaches, who must find the right formulas and in this case, it is me who must find it. I think I have taken time, there was a group to build and the second part of the season will be very interesting. Many regrets because we deserved better.

CDF - The entry of Sandrine Brétigny surprised us a lot. We know that she returned to the Coupe de France but did it deter the team, restore confidence, what happened?

C.P. - Beyond the two goals, if I have to analyze the game, we had a good first half. That the referee does not want me, the free kick that brought the goal is a little harsh. The penalty is a lot to me. We will see on the images if I am right or not. The content was good, we were in place, well organized. We struggled to project ourselves while trying to improve on the second half. Sandrine's contribution has succeeded in bringing to life the good intentions we had previously shown.

CDF - It felt like you were more present offensively.

C.P. - Completely. We created a lot of opportunities. Kelly's (Gadea's) refused goal is severe for me. We are still in this spiral to be able to win matches in the face of adversity, especially when we are in trouble. We have convictions that we can put into practice and if we continue to be applied, mentally and sportingly, it will pay.

CDF - Are you going to count on a player like Sandrine Brétigny?

C.P. - Sandrine finds the group as a player without forgetting her integration at the staff level, all she has brought and everything she will continue to bring but we will ask a little more. To continue to take a little more fun on the field because that is what I can see.

I had asked him to stop at the end of last season because it was a choice of coach and she gives me wrong. The key is to bounce back and yes, she brings his experience, his serenity in the game. She was in the dressing room coaches and it was not good.

Sandrine is part of the group which is now composed of 24 players. We must not forget that she continues to be present inside the locker room.

CDF - Are you going to have recruits?

C.P. - We're good like that. In life, there is a time to sew and a time to unravel. Let's sew together all 24 but I do not like when it gets too long. We will allow the group to progress, young players continue to evolve upwards, to achieve our goal of maintenance and we will go together.
