The reaction of Christophe Parra, coach of the women's section of Olympique de Marseille, just after the last game of the season against Juvisy Bondoufle. A special meeting for both clubs and both teams, which was gleaned by the Juvisiennes (2-1), defeated by Marseille. A way to put the table of confrontations between the two opponents of the day tied.

The summary of the match => D1 (22nd round): Juvisy wins his last, Marseille finishes 4th

Christophe Parra - On the match itself not too many comments. On the sporting level I think it was mostly a particular match. Particular for the French women's football, with the judgment of Sandrine Bretigny but also of his great friend, Sandrine Dusang. So we knew it was going to be very special. I'm not saying that we came to do figuration, not at all. We came as we did from the beginning trying to think better and trying to cause problems to Juvisy. But I think that on the match today, Juvisy was much better and deserves his victory.

Football Hearts - In the second half all the same you equalized quickly, at that moment you did not think to tilt even more the match in your favor, by winning it?
Christophe Parra - We equalized quickly. We had a good quarter of an hour, we could even score behind, there were a few more interesting situations, we played a little bit higher and we managed to get a little more control, instead of quickly return the ball to the opponent and arrive at a given moment, not to be able to project and put in place a little more our offensive animation. We had a lot of waste after this first quarter of an hour [45th to 60th] on the second half. We had a lot of difficulties to progress and to allow our bloc to move forward. Good in quick attack, we may have had two, three situations that could have allowed us to score, but I think that the entire match Juvisy did not steal his victory.

Football Hearts - If we talk about the results of the Olympique de Marseille season, for its first in D1, it's still a good season for you, with this fourth place at the end?
C.P. - It's been a long, difficult season with a very special start. On the first seven games, five away games, two home games where we received Lyon and Montpellier so the start was complicated. The blow of the spell makes that our first big performance against Juvisy in Marseilles, allowed us to garner a victory and to throw finally a little bit the fruit of the work of the girls and their investments and we remained many matches harnessed to the victory. Especially how to do [to win] and re-think questions in productivity and work.

"We're going for a moment to savor."

Soccer Hearts - It may be a little early to talk about it, but are you going to change something for next year?
C.P. - Well, we're going to enjoy it for the moment, and we're going to project ourselves quietly as we've been doing since the beginning of the season and I'd say for six years, with a lot of thought, a lot of analysis and a lot of maturity. We are going for a moment to savor.

Football Hearts - Last question it concerns Bordeaux, who also manages to stay in the last sprint. It's a promoted like you. What do you think ?
C.P. - I do not have the knowledge, the memory or just the two to know when this fact goes there [to have two graduates who are maintained in the first year]. I think it's been many years since all the clubs that climbed from the D2 to the D1, went down again. (smile) There is a double blow so yes it is to emphasize. It shows that these two clubs and these two teams may have had the will associated with the work, which allows from time to time, to climb anyway a lot of mountains and difficult passes to refer to the Tour de France.

Football Hearts - Unlike Saint-Etienne goes down, it's still a big loss for the D1 Feminine?
C.P. - Well yes, of course of course, after it's sport, it's the law of sport, it's like that, we know it. There are also amateur clubs who are there and who defend their skin dearly and it must be underlined and recognize all of their work and all of their work for many years. So it's the law of sport and you have to accept it.
