The draw for the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France was held this afternoon at the headquarters of the FFF. The first lesson is that there will be no duels between D1 teams at the quarter-finals stage. A draw that can promise half-board between the elite or alternatively some nice surprises in the last square.
=> French Cup (1 / 8th finals) - The summary of the matches of the weekend
A draw where two posters are not yet complete due to postponements of two round of 16: Reims-Arras and PSG-Rodez. The winning team of the match Reims-Arras will have the "privilege" of receiving Olympique Lyonnais, who will meet again a D2 team in the quarters after having released Toulouse and Yzeure during the two previous rounds.
There will be three duels between teams of D2 and D1 in these quarters. Stade Brestois will host Montpellier while Saint-Etienne will host the winner of the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Rodez.
In the last poster of these quarters, we will find the only representatives of the regional level, the players of Le Havre who will receive the ASJ Soyaux stage Océane. After the eighth-final loss against Le Havre, Stéphane Martos, the coach of AS Pierrots Vauban told us that if the players of the HAC "did not fall on the PSG, Lyon or Montpellier" there were chances to "see them at La Meinau on May 31" for the final of the Coupe de France. Soyaux is therefore warned!
All matches in these quarter-finals of the Coupe de France are scheduled for the weekend of 14 and 15 April.
