This weekend, we played the federal round of the Coupe de France, stage of the competition which sees the entry into the lists of D2 clubs. Of the 52 matches scheduled, seven had to be postponed due to weather conditions. In other games to note a few surprises, including the elimination of several second division clubs.


A sometimes capricious weather has partially disrupted the matches of this round of the Cup. Among the private teams of field, Dijon, Arras or Nancy and Rouen who had to move on the lawns of Saessolheim and Liévin two teams of District which are part of the most modest teams present on this federal tour.

No district team has yet managed to pass this round, with the elimination of FC Lyon or Châteauroux. For the moment, it is the AS Bruyères who is figure of "petit poucet" for the 1/32 of final. The club of Essonne evolves in Regional 3 (PH - 5th division), and is hoisted to the following turn after being imposed on the lawn of Osny, which evolves also in Regional 3.


Of the D2 teams that will not see the 1 / 32nd, three have been eliminated by teams from lower divisions. OGC Nice (DH - 3rd Division), who missed the D2 climb last season, had a win against Nîmes, who struggled in the league and who fell as soon as they entered the Coupe de France.

Promoted this season in D2, Montauban suffered the law of Mérignac-Arlac (Regional 1 - 3rd division), a former resident of D2. The VGA Saint-Maur was also released by a team from Regional 1, Le Havre. The HAC, leader of its regional group and candidate for the climb, has offered a prestigious victory against Saint-Maur.

Finally, in the shock between residents of D2, Lorient lost to Saint-Malo. The two clubs met on November 12 on behalf of the 9th day of the championship and separated on a draw 0-0. Back at the Marville stadium, the Malvinas have this time taken over the red lantern group A.

We are now awaiting the outcome of the last seven meetings of this federal round, before the entry into the club of D1 in January for the 1/32 round of finals.
