This weekend will be the 16th round of the Coupe de France. With no clash between teams of D1, interesting duels and possible exploits, here is the program of this tour.
The top trio of the D1 spared
This year, no D1 club will meet at the stage of the round of 16. The top trio of the elite even had the chance to shoot opponents far below them on paper. The Lyonnaises, holders of the title, will indeed move on the lawn of Châtenoy, resident of DH. OL will face for the second time in this Coupe de France a team of the third echelon after ESAP Metz the previous round. After performing the feat against Tremblay, the DH club will try to look good. Paris and Montpellier will receive them this weekend two D2 clubs. Lorient will discover the lair of Charléty while Toulouse will move to the side of Grammont.
There is room for some feats
While some meetings seem already decided, others remain much more indecisive. Among the clashes between D1 and D2, the Puy, Vendenheim and Bordeaux could well fall Rodez, Saint-Etienne or Roche. The Bordeaux had already managed to knock down Soyaux in the previous round, on penalties. Condé and Issy will also play their chances against Saint-Maur and Guingamp, two scorers of a D2 club in the previous round.
A poster between D2, the DH will try to resist
This Sunday will also take place a tantalizing Metz-Yzeure, poster between two contenders for the climb in D1. The only game that will feature two D2 clubs. Finally, DH teams will try to resist a little more the domination of the French elite. With a match between Orvault and Bergerac, he is already assured that he will remain one in the round of 16. The others will however have much to do, Saint Christol the Ales receiving in particular a resident of D1 who shows himself in better shape these last weeks, Nîmes. Suspicion however, the magic of the Coupe de France always reserves surprises.
