The draw for the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France was held this afternoon at the headquarters of the FFF. Among the eight qualified, seven teams of D1 and Hénin-Beaumont who evolves in Inter-Regional.
Among the posters that were drawn, some meetings were already out of the hat, like the match between Juvisy and Paris Saint-Germain, two teams that will also meet this weekend in the league. Last year the two teams in the Paris region had measured themselves in the knockout stages with a victory for PSG at Stade Charlety. This time it is Juvisy who will host the Paris derby.
Another poster for a remake of last season, the meeting between Olympique Lyonnais and Rodez. The Ruthenians who had achieved a good career in the Coupe de France, until the semi-final, before falling against defending title Lyon on the lawn of Gerland.
Soyaux inherits the little poucet
In the middle of the D1 teams, Hénin-Beaumont was guaranteed to receive for these quarter-finals, because of the two divisions of difference with the other teams. Only unknown then, the opponent, and it will be Soyaux who will move in the Pas-de-Calais. A gala match for Henin, who will find the space of a match at the level of the D1, which the northerners have long known before their descent into Inter-Regional.
The last quarter-final show will see two former Cup winners, Montpellier and Saint-Étienne, against each other. A meeting that will be played in the Hérault, with all meetings of these quarters scheduled for March 12.
