Sixty-four teams in the running, including twelve D1 teams, and one district team, FC Nantes. The Nantaises who are part of the puppets of the event at this stage of the competition, with team like Péronne (League) and the clubs of DHR, Amnéville and Parisis.
A draw that could promise a lot of derbies, but for the most part did not come out of the hat. Notably, posters like Guingamp (D1) - Saint-Malo (D2), Metz ESAP (D2) - Nancy (DH) or the meeting between Albi (D1) and Montauban (DH).
For the teams of D1 the draw ended on several posters facing teams of D2. Rodez will move to Nimes (former resident of the D1), Soyaux to Lorient, Juvisy to Rouen while Saint-Etienne will receive Vendenheim. On the side of the defending champions, Olympique Lyonnais, it will be a trip to the grass of ETG Ambilly (DH) in Haute-Savoie.
For Montpellier, finalist of the last two editions, the task looks harder, with a trip to the lawn of Olympique Marseille. This is the only poster between teams promoted from D1, as Bordeaux moves to Poitiers (DH) and Metz to Evry (DHR).
For the D2 clubs, the draw has also reserved a good poster since the leaders of both groups will meet in the 32nd finals. LOSC and Val d'Orge will compete in the North next January. As in D1, only one poster between clubs of the same rank in D2.
As for the little squeaks, the FC Nantes, largely leader of its hen in district continues its adventure in Cup with a displacement in the Côtes d'Armor on the lawn of Plérin (DH). On the side of Péronne another small poucet of this competition, the trip will be on the side of Flers (DH) in the Orne.
