Communication plays a very important role in a club, FCF Juvisy has understood and has constantly improved this tool, to be as close as possible to its supporters. The relationship with the public, the values to be conveyed, the image to give of the club, the role of the social networks, the relations with the press are just as many points that one must know how to handle in the management of a club and this almost 7/7 days, 365 days! So we took the club of Essonne to discuss this among others, with Clément Gervais in a second part and Marinette Pichon for the third part of our article, which you will find later. Return.
FCF Juvisy focuses on communication
With a Facebook account of about 10,000 members and a certified Twitter account, with more than 1,900 followers, FCF Juvisy Essonne continues to grow this number over the seasons. The club Gaetane Thiney has finished on the 4th step of the ranking, it is not left behind. The six-time champion of France handles his image perfectly, to keep a real link with his supporters.
Jean Besse has worked hard for the implementation of this work in depth, including the slogan: "Your presence is our strength." The slogan of the club creates a real communion between supporters and players. Aurelien Plet assistant coach and babysitters at FCF Juvisy also participated in the management of communication. Today, since August 2015, it is a very different person who has the mission. This is Clement Gervais, in charge of the club's communication, led by the leaders.
All the matches were followed by these treatments, creating a real symbiosis with the Juvenile fans. Posters, interviews, follow-up of articles related to the club, report France 3, partners, animations in matches, return of the players to mediate the club, vent (Paris World Cup), tournaments etc. the club was on all fronts this season. With a growing community around the team, but also around women's football, more generally, the FCF Juvisy participates at the national level to the mediatization around the practice.
Several women are also behind this momentum: Marie Terroni, Marinette Pichon, Nadia Benmokhtar and all the players, who actively participate in the commitment of the club, as a major club of the D1 Feminine in France, in Europe and internationally!
Speak to the greatest number
Families, (young) players, retirees, long-time supporters, teenagers who come to the match with their friends, fans, female football fans ... A rather heterogeneous public in itself, which allows the club to talk to the greatest number of female football fans. At the level of communication, it makes the task difficult: how to launch a campaign that will speak to young and old? To do so, one must be able to find a consensus, have a guideline and stick to it in order to advance with its audience in the same direction, regardless of the age of each. In other words, we have to create a real osmosis around the spectators / viewers / readers, who follow the women, in their match, their season of D1 Feminine and the players with everyone!
A club is like a brand, but with some subtleties
If the club can control the communication, it can not control the result, a fact that goes second in the service com, which must above all create a special moment with the public, unable to control the outcome of the match ... To make the club of Essonne has its own rituals, music, entertainment ... Each match is prepared several days, see weeks up to the day, with the management of the press and supporters.
Inspire a new generation
The more you communicate on the Women's Football, the more the number of licensees will increase. A fact that allows us to give some usefulness of communication, in addition to keeping the fans of a club informed, about the events around the team, among others. The FCF Juvisy constantly puts his team forward, just like the Bleues which allows to create a real link with the fans of this sport and possible contender to play within their teams!
The players more and more exposed
Several players of the club play or have played in Team France in the Juvis club. Football players have obviously a leading role in the search for media around the club. On the front line, they have to face journalists' questions, communicate on their social accounts, federate around them to grow the visibility of their club ... It also plays for their own image, in order to have a certain popularity and to increase their visibility, to try to play in the national team. The players are therefore normal people with a rather abnormal life. Because of the issues around them, the pressure of results and the increasing media exposure. Yet, this is part of the "job" of a footballer, because even if most players in France, do not have such a huge salary, passion takes precedence over the lure of gain.
