On behalf of the 8th day of D1 Feminine, VGA Saint-Maur received ASJ Soyaux at Stade Chéron. At the end of a tight and disputed match, the two teams finally ended in a draw (1-1).

Badly in point since some championship games and heavily defeated before the truce by the PSG, the Saint-Mauriennes wanted to take advantage of this duel against Soyaux to start again. Opposite, the Soljadiennes had good take four points to consolidate their fifth place in the standings. Everything was well started in this match for the latter. On one of their first incursions, Laura Bourgouin piques her ball right in front of Mélodie Carré to give the advantage to her team (5th, 0-1). Picked cold, the Yellow and Blue however show respondent. They go forward and multiply opportunities in the minutes that follow. However, neither Céline Châtelain's header on a corner (9th), Lilia Boumrar on a shot (12th), nor Kelly Gago following a free kick fail to score.

Dominatrix, the VGA fails to equalize and Soyaux takes the opportunity to try to double the stake. Indeed, the hosts gradually lose control at half an hour of play. But they can count on Melodie Carré, back in the cages after five games on the bench. The latter remains impeccable in its outputs against the Charentaises to preserve the score (36th, 39th). Saint-Maur will have one last 1-1 ball before the break, but Amandine Guérin intervenes (43). The score is then 0-1 at the break.

After the break, the match continues to be balanced between the two teams. Boumrar (50th) and Gago (51st) launch the first alerts in the defense of Soyaux, before the Soljadian women get a huge opportunity through their captain, Anaïs Dumont. Only part in the depth, the latter, alone against Carré, sees the door Saint-Maurienne repel the ball (54th). The Yellow and Blue continue to push to score against a Soyal who plays rather against. The changes made by the VGA coach, Régis Mohar, bring a little more dynamism to his team. Gago (57th, 59th) sees two of his centers narrowly deflected before Aurore Paprzycki's shot was deflected slightly from the top of the head (66th).

Soyaux is also dangerous against, repeatedly forcing Melodie Carré out in the feet (61st, 65th). The pressure of the hosts intensifies in the last quarter of an hour. Shares and corners are multiplying in front of Guérin's cages, which remain impeccable on his line. In the end, delivery will logically happen for the guests. On an overflow of Tizi, Marlyse Ngo Ndoumbouk is present in the surface to take the ball of the head and equalize (86th, 1-1). The VGA could have even won if Amandine Guérin had not released two huge saves against Céline Châtelain. First on the hit in the surface of the St. Maurienne (90th), then on his head after the corner of Parpzycki (90 + 2e).

The VGA Saint-Maur and the ASJ Soyaux are therefore part of a 1-1 draw where, although the hosts have dominated overall, the two teams could have won as the match was open and undecided, especially in the second. act. The Yellow and Blue does not bow for the second time this season and confirms the best interview in the game against Paris. They remain however in the red zone. Soyaux, however solid outside, leaves with two points of its displacement and is maintained in fifth position. Next capital match for the VGA in Saint-Etienne while Soyaux will receive him Montpellier.
