Saturday, Lyon and Paris were in the Champions League, Sunday the D1 regains its rights with four matches out of the six scheduled for the 19th day, matches Metz-PSG and Bordeaux-Lyon being scheduled for May 3. Fewer matches but already lessons with OM more than ever fourth, and Albi that ensures virtually its maintenance.
Olympique de Marseille - ASJ Soyaux: 2-0
Marseille consolidated its fourth place after winning against Soyaux, its seventh straight home success. With five points ahead of Soyaux and Juvisy before the 19th day, OM could eliminate a direct competitor and give a little more cachet to a second part of the season almost perfect accounting.
Facing Soyaux, Marseille quickly takes the lead. After a first chance for Pauline Cousin in the 11th minute and whose shot goes over the frame, it is Nora Coton-Pelagie who opens the scoring five minutes later. On a cross from Charlotte Lozé right side, the Olympian midfielder cuts the trajectory at the first post with a uncrossed head that deceives Romane Munich (16th).
Before the half hour mark, Marseille doubles the mark by Kelly Gadea (29th). A first strike by Viviane Asseyi is rejected by Romane Munich, but returns to the feet of Gadea who sends the ball to the back of the net. Before the break, OM even had the opportunity to add a third goal by Charlotte Lozé (31st) or in the 44th minute following a free-kick from Viviane Asseyi.
Back from the locker room, Soyaux had few chances to come back with a free-kick by Laura Bourgoin caught by Pauline Peyraud-Magnin (71), or a shot by Anne-Laure Davy on which the Olympian s sitter interposed (67th). Marseille side, Pauline Cousin sees his goal refused (53) following a foul on Romane Munich in the box and is regularly dangerous against the goal soldjian. But nothing will be scored in this second act and Marseille wins a victory that confirms the momentum of OM with this tenth win of the season, the seventh in 2017.
FCF Juvisy - Rodez Aveyron Football: 1-1
=> Efficiency ran out on both sides
In Front Guingamp - ASPTT Albi: 1-2
Albi is very close to maintenance, it is now a certainty after this victory in Saint-Brieuc on the lawn of En Avant Guingamp. A second win in a row after the crucial success against Bordeaux, and again on the outside.
The opening of the score is however to the advantage of Bretonnes from the 6th minute. A head of Oparanozie on a center of Faustine Robert allows the players of Sarah M'Barek to take the ascendancy. Even faster is the Albigensian equalization. A fault of Charlotte Lorgeré in the surface and it is Manon Rouzies who brings the ASPTT to height (9th).
The debates come alive at the end of the first period but we have to wait for the return of the locker room to see Albi take the advantage. At the approach of the hour, Gabrielle Lambert sends a long ball to Pilar Khoury who plays two defenders and scores on a cross shot (58th). Unlike Albi in the first half, Guingamp is unable to pick up the score.
At the end of the match, the spirits warm up and two red cards were released for Salma Amani and Laurianne Cervera and the two teams played the last minutes to ten in a tense atmosphere until the final whistle. In this context, Albi still retains his advantage and passes Rodez in the standings. The players of Adolphe Ogouyon are now eight points ahead of Bordeaux (which has one game less), first relegation. A (very) comfortable mattress three days from the end.
AS Saint-Étienne - Montpellier Hérault SC: 0-8
After the elimination in the Coupe de France, the return to the D1 was complicated for Saint-Étienne who recorded a heavy defeat at home against Montpellier. Eight goals conceded with from the first ten minutes two goals signed Janice Cayman (4th) and Valerie Gauvin (10th). Before the break, Gauvin even added a third goal (37th).
For Montpellier, taking points and the goal average are as sure to validate this qualification in the Champions League which is now within reach of the MHSC. Double scorer, Valerie Gauvin gives way to the break at Lindsey Thomas who will register a double in the end of the game (81st and 84th). Meanwhile Laura Agard (67th) and Marie-Charlotte Léger (77th) had participated in the offensive festival Héraultais. In stoppage time, Sandie Toletti made the mark in the 92nd minute.
Saint-Étienne largely beaten had perhaps the head elsewhere, with another crucial meeting next Sunday against Metz in late match of the 12th day. An encounter that could seal the fate of the D1 at the bottom of the table or restart all the race to maintain.
