This Sunday, on behalf of the 12th day of D1 Feminine, the VGA Saint-Maur moved to the leader of the championship, Olympique Lyonnais. Freed by Montpellier last week (0-0), the Lyonnaises relied on this meeting to leave the front face of Franciliennes badly in point.

On pitch no. 10 of the Gerland plain, the two teams approached this meeting differently. On the one hand, OL wanted to resume its winning dynamic in order to remain firmly in the lead. On the other, the Saint-Mauriennes had to remobilize after the heavy defeat at La Roche sur Yon (1-4) and the internal crisis that followed, the management having decided to push his coaches to the exit. The Fenottes completed their goal at home with a big win (8-1), although the VGA also did not miss its mission, shaking the nets Rhone for the second time this season in D1.

From the kick-off, the Lyonnaises take the game to their account. After a first alert on a free kick from Louisa Necib (2nd), they find for the first time the flaw. On a center of Elodie Thomis taken over by Schelin, Noémie Berge against the ball of the hand. The referee does not hesitate and whistles penalty. The Japanese Saki Kumagai converted in stride, taking Carré on foot against a cross shot (5th, 1-0). Two minutes later, Nécib near the 2-0, with a new free kick from the left, slammed on the bar by Carré (7th). Dominated, the visitors hold as they can, pushing among other things a header of Hegerberg (10th) before Carré is illustrated again by pushing a header Wendie Renard on corner (13th). Majri then sees his volley from outside the foot fly above the opposing cages (14th) before OL gets a very good free kick at the entrance to the surface.

A free kick Camille Abily sends in the left corner of the cages Saint-Mauriennes a superb shot wound (19th, 2-0). Already in the hard, the VGA will take completely the water in the minutes that follow with four goals in the space of seven minutes. First on a free kick away Nécib, the ball is diverted by the wall before being taken into the area by Ada Hegerberg, who sends it in the opposite corner (24th, 3-0). Then two minutes later, it was Lotta Schelin's turn to score on a header after a long pass from Abily (26th, 4-0). OL do not slow down, Hegerberg offering a doubled of a foot after a good one-two with Le Sommer (29th, 5-0), before getting a new penalty. After a long pass from Renard, Schelin shifts his head to Hegerberg, cut in his tracks by Kani Konté. Renard does not tremble and converts from a flat foot to the right of the cages (31e, 6-0).

Underwater, the Saint-Mauriennes however have the right to a lull of a few minutes after these seven minutes of madness. A lull of short duration, the defense having to divert a shot of Schelin in the surface (37th) before conceding a new goal. On a good overflow left side of Le Sommer, who was able to count on his teammate Hegerberg to recover the ball, the French center in the area at the back post to Abily, who managed to control and take the ball despite the marking (41st, 7-0). The Sommer is still dangerous on both actions before the break, his shot shaving the bar of Carré on the first before finishing on the second. The referee whistled the half-time score 7-0, allowing Saint-Maur to breathe.

The second act seems to restart on the same rhythm as the first. The door of the Yellow and Blue must be used from the recovery on a shot from Hegerberg (47th), before capturing a nice shot from distant Claire Lavogez, returned to the break (51). Despite this domination, the Lyonnaises fall asleep little by little and a false rhythm settles in this meeting. Few concrete opportunities for the latter, who face a much stronger VGA behind and who finally manages to come out with the ball in the opposing area. They will even begin to approach the cages of Sarah Bouhaddi, back from injury. After another parade of Carré (67th), the visitors will even manage to bend the OL. On a free kick shot from the median line by Berge, Déborah Nogbou, who was playing his first D1 match with the VGA, is at the fall of the ball at the entrance to the surface and takes advantage of a bad exit from the Rhone door. to lob and score in empty goals (71e, 7-1).

An unexpected goal that comes to reward the good second period of the Yellow and Blue but which is not the taste of the Lyonnaises. The latter will also lose their defender, Griedge M'Bock, on injury following a contact with Tizi. OL however accelerates again in the last quarter of an hour but faces a strong opponent defense, supported by a Square Melody that multiplies stops. First by capturing the free kick Majri (78th), then rejecting an attempt by Schelin (82). Agitated, Gérard Prêcheur's players chained the foul, Hegerberg taking a card after a big blow to Berge (88th). Opposite, the VGA hopes until the end to hold this score of 0-1 on the second half but crack in overtime, Hegerberg taking the ball after a surrender of Renard's head in the box (92nd, 8-1). ). The score will stay there.

Olympique Lyonnais is back then with this broad victory (8-1), Paris and Montpellier having also won behind. The Lyonnaises will however regret their second period, lower quality with a new goal conceded this season, the second after Soyaux. They will have the opportunity to keep this momentum with a new promoted face next weekend, Nîmes. Opposite the VGA, which was heading towards a record setback after taking seven goals in the first period, was able to react despite the situation, even paying the luxury of putting a goal to Bouhaddi. A 1-1 draw on the second period that sounds like a victory for the players of Régis Mohar and a much better face that will still be shown next week at home to get a second win in D1 against Albi.
