The French Football Federation has just unveiled the long-awaited schedule of D2 Feminine matches for the 2016/2017 season. Meetings between the 24 D2 clubs will take place from September 11, 2016 to May 28, 2017. Check out the groups and the game schedule for this national championship.

A competition that went from 3 groups to 2 groups in this season, from 36 teams to 24! 24 clubs to allow a better management of the D2 Feminine, and prepare the future promoted more easily to their challenge in D1 Feminine! A reform that would bring together "sportingly and structurally" the D2 to the D1, to implement "concrete sports projects".

Several movements took place, including the three former D1 clubs relegated at the end of this previous season (La Roche / Yon ESOF, Nîmes Métropole Gard and Saint-Maur VGA), and the 6 new clubs promoted: Boulogne, Brest , Caen for Group A; Clermont, Metz ESAP and Toulon for Group B.
