She collapsed at the end of the match, like most of her teammates. The poignant testimony of Jana Coryn just after the draw with Arras (0-0). A result that puts in suspense the rise of the LOSC in D1, in favor of Roche-Sur-Yon, until the final verdict following the call of the club. The Belgian had a perfect season before this affair, having scored no less than 23 goals in 20 games played. She told us off, she was injured and she had to play this match with three painkillers to reduce his pain and straps on the foot. A fact that partly explains the final score.

The summary of the meeting => D2F (Arras / LOSC 0-0): The Lille girls see the climb escape

Soccer Hearts - It must be a frustrating match, while you have given everything on the field, and there the score does not really reflect your rage?

Jana Coryn - No, no, we knew we had to win here to be Champions [of D2] unfortunately the Federation made a statement [on the four lost points], an error in fact because Lille did everything officially and they have validated the license so [the player could play], we can do nothing on our side, we did not know [we players]. And it is a situation that falls on us, we knew that yesterday (Saturday, a day before the game). So at that moment, we thought we had to win here. But we knew it was a special match, because a lot of girls know the players in Arras, so we knew it was going to be difficult, but we gave it all. They also had some opportunities and we too, and we have to conclude [on our side] in fact, but hey, we did not get there. Now, it's frustrating that La Roche can climb like this, but the club will appeal because we did everything [for the climb], we were first all year and we can not tear off this title of Champion in the last match. We did not do anything for that. The Federation validated the license and Lille did everything officially.

Football Hearts - When did you learn this business?
J.C - It was known earlier this week but it was known that the decision would be made only Friday, and the Federation has decided to remove the four points. (sorry) So good that's boring for us.

Football Hearts - To talk a bit about yourself, is it still a good season in a personal capacity?
J.C - Yes it's a good season, I can finish top scorer, and Champion, but now I have nothing, because of the decision of the Federation. They took a year from the whole team. But I hope they will do what is necessary now for us, and I hope that LOSC will also do everything to [settle this case], because I have never seen that in my career. In Belgium they will laugh when they learn this story.

Hearts of Foot - Because you to remind our readers, this is your first season in D2, in the championship of France.
J.C - Yes it was my project the rise in D1, we managed so I was too happy, and now we must live this situation, I never saw that.
That the Rock can climb like that, while we ourselves the players we are not aware, since the player [who was recruited] did not say anything [on his license in his previous club] and the Federation no longer n ' did not say she already had a license. We can not know and suffer that at the end of the season it's a disappointment. We did everything in the rules.

Hearts of Football - But to talk about this match against Arras. What did you miss? Because we saw that Arras played a lot on the physical, that he wanted to get you a little bit in your game construction.
J.C - We knew that Arras played on the long balloons and we are more technical normally on our synthetic. Here we know that the grass slows down [the ball]. But we can not take that as an excuse. We had a few chances, we have to finish, but the goalkeeper was well placed too. They certainly have seen videos too [to be as well prepared] so ... I still had two defenders [about me]. We did everything we could. Normally this draw should have been enough for us, as we were already Champions last week (May 14).

Football Hearts - To speak now about Belgium, I know that even in the Belgian league, you had big stats personally. That's when LOSC spotted you? How was the transition?
J.C - Yes the season where I played with Lierse (previous club) it was well spent, I was also the top scorer in Belgium, we won the Cup so it was filmed and publicized. I was really looking for a club to have another challenge out of Belgium, and as France is not far, I live near the border. I had researched and already saw clubs like Arras or Hénin-Beaumont, but Lille contacted me so it was a great opportunity for me. It was not far [from home] and it's a professional club, with adapted infrastructure and professional training. I did not have to move especially since I'm still in Belgium and it was a great team [the LOSC].

Hearts of Football - How did the change of the Belgian championship to that of France take place?
J.C - It's a different system. In Belgium, we played mostly on my speed with long balls (gesture with the hand, from right to left), but now I also learned that I can play in the feet [technically]. I learned something from French football. So [the transition] it went well. The coach of the national team also saw that I improved and that's the goal [with Belgium]. Now the goal [with the LOSC] was the rise, for the experience of playing against stronger teams [of the D1, like Paris or Lyon].

Soccer Hearts - Because I saw that you played the Cyprus Cup in March with the Belgium team.
J.C - Yeah, yeah, yeah (smile).

Football Hearts - It was complicated anyway for you as a tournament? There were several attackers, so it was difficult to have a place holder?
JC - (laughs, a little embarrassed) Yes yes, there's competition in the national team, but you know, you play the highest level in Belgium so you know what to expect [in the national team] . We work [each to be on the field] and there are two attackers [in selection] who are strong. One plays in Montpellier (Janice Cayman) [since January], and the other in Wolfsburg (Tessa Wullaert) in Germany. So I know it, but I work and if the coach needs me, I'm always there.

Soccer Hearts - Yes, because I saw you were the least used forward for the moment.
JC - (laughs again and quickly resumes a calm face) Yes I know, but it's been a few years that I progress, since last season, and with that I can play more [in selection] because he has more trust, he always had confidence (laughs) I must say that rather.

Hearts of Foot - You take your trouble in patience we will say?
J.C - I always have patience and if I come back, I give everything [on the ground] to show that I am there.

Soccer Hearts - Because there is the list for the Euro, it is not done yet?
J.C - No it is not done yet, I got my selection for the courses now. But first (smile) I go on vacation because otherwise I saturate, the season is long (open arms to figure).

Hearts of Football - Last question, you will face Japan and France before the Euro precisely, so I hope we will see you there, because you deserve it. How do you see these two confrontations then? Japan who is World Champion 2011.
JC - Yes I think that for us, these are good games, to compare us, no it's not really that we must compare the two countries, but I think we can gain confidence and sharpen our automatisms for prepare the Euro well. Whether we win or lose, the goal is to prepare for the Euro at best.

Soccer Hearts - Because I know that between France and Belgium, it's a "big" story.
J.C - Yes (laughs).

Hearts of Soccer - Janice [Cayman] said in an interview with FIFA, that she was taking the example of what France did in 2011. Is this something you keep in mind? What are the strengths of Belgium in your opinion?
J.C - Oh yeah?
Yes France has many players and individual talents but as our team too. I think that Belgium has invested for a few years already (gesture from the left to the right) and now we see that we are qualified for the first time so we still have a lot of work to do, but I think matches against France and Japan will allow us to learn.
We have good individualities, we can make the difference, but the group together too. We can change the system, we can replace the girls (a bench that can turn), and I think we must give everything because it will not be easy to the Euro, it's the first time. We have to win everything, yes we have to win everything that's for sure (laughs), but we'll see the first match what will happen and we prepare in June the deadline.
