ESAP Metz, club D2, just lost on the green carpet a match he had won 2-0 against the Vendenheim Women on 29 October. The cause: the Messin club brought into play a player who was not registered on the score sheet.

Roumaissa Bouzouidja. This is the name of the player from ESAP Metz who replaced Ophélie Cordier in the 85th minute of the D2 match against Vendenhiem. Problem: This player was not registered on the score sheet. Result: the ESAP Metz will be sanctioned by the commission of the FFF of the loss of the match by penalty. But that's not all. The club will also end up with one point less in the standings, zero goals scored for the match against Vendenheim and three goals conceded penalty for the benefit of his opponent. This victory gained on green carpet therefore allows Vendenheim to consolidate its seventh place in the standings. However, the ESAP Metz retrograde in 9th place, because of these four points of penalty in the classification.

ESAP Metz as Paris Saint-Germain

A year earlier, Paris Saint-Germain had experienced the same mishap. On September 10, 2016, the Parisian club brought Sarah Palacin into play against Albi, on the first day of D1. But the player was not registered on the score sheet. The commission of the FFF had sanctioned the PSG a defeat on green carpet, plus one point in the ranking. That's four penalty points. A penalty heavy consequence, because the Paris club has probably let slip the title of champion of France at Olympique Lyonnais. Worse, PSG finished only third behind Montpellier, and did not qualify for the Champions League for this season 2017/2018.
