Stade Brestois goalkeeper (D2), 25-year-old Melodie Carré, announced on Thursday on Twitter that she was putting her football career on hold. She explained her decision with a loss of desire, pleasure, motivation and the need to focus on personal projects.

Trained at Le Mans FC, Carré spent his career in clubs like Yzeure (D2) and VGA Saint-Maur. With the Val de Marne club, she had enjoyed the joys of a rise in D1 in 2015. The D1, she also tasted with Saint-Etienne, before going down to D2 last season. As she was only the substitute for Mylène Chavas in the club Etienne, she had joined the Stade Brestois this season. And it is in Finistère that his career is put on hold. As she revealed to us: "I have stopped since our last league game against Lorient on December 3. If I feel the need to replay in July I will study the possibility, but otherwise it is a final decision without however do not close any doors, maybe I will miss playing more than I think. "
