This weekend was the first day of the D2 Women's New Formula with two groups of 12 instead of three. Another change, the introduction of the victory to 3 points (1 for draws, 0 in case of defeat) instead of 4 as was the case before. A D2 that is more upscale and this weekend we saw a lot of undecided match, which ended in draws or short wins. We also saw uncomplicated graduates and teams from D1 struggling for this first act. Group A
Talking about being beaten up, Group A saw the Roche-Sur-Yon team fall from the first day on the Stade Brestois pitch, one of six teams promoted by DH this season. A first goal for Brest in the first period by Laura Lemarquand in the 31st minute. In the end, Brest will add a second goal by Melanie Blanchard (87th). A goal followed in the wake of a reduction in score Charlotte Peslerbe (88th) for the ESOF, but will be insufficient to return to the mark.

Another Brittany team got off to a good start this season, with US Saint-Malo winning 2-0 at Le Mans with goals from Léa Le Garrec and Mélanie Anger. Rouen also won against the likes of the Avant Garde Caennaise (2-1), a success that took shape in the last minutes thanks to a goal from Tiffany Vassant (88th), the two teams having scored in the first quarter-hour of the second half. The last team to take the three points is none other than LOSC. Lille candidate declared the climb and started with a 1-0 win against Arras. A goal scored in the 62nd minute by Maud Coutereels, at the reception of a free-kick by Rachel Saidi.

In the last two matches (Lorient / Saint-Maur and Boulogne / Reims), the two teams have each neutralized themselves on the score of 1-1.

Group B
In Group B, the highlight of this first day is also signed by a promoted. The team of the ESAP Metz largely beat (5-1) another team which discovers the D2 this year, SC Toulon.
