Paris FC won five goals to one (5-1) on Fleury's pitch on the first day of the championship. A convincing result to open this season 2017/2018, with a triplet of Gaëtane Thiney, against a team of Fleury who played his first game in D1.

It was a special match that took place this afternoon at the Auguste Gentelet stadium in Fleury-Mérogis. First for the Fleury club, the FCF91, whose team Val d'Orge took the colors after obtaining its accession in D1 last season. On the side of Paris FC, this match was also the opportunity to release new colors after the absorption of FCF Juvisy within the Paris club.

The new derby?

A poster that hides partly the very close proximity between the two teams whose training grounds are a few kilometers away. A short distance that is also seen in the composition of the two teams since in the group of Fleury this season, they are a dozen to be passed by Juvisy, six among those who started the game including the captain of Julie Rabanne (Machart) and Gwenaëlle Butel, whose sister Anaig was facing her this afternoon.

But this context, necessarily particular, did not really weigh on the course of the meeting. Rather, we saw a Fleury team in a situation of discovery in front of a regular D1 formation and who knew how to put the ingredients to take shelter in this match. A situation accentuated by the absences of Teninsoun Sissoko (injured) and Salma Amani (suspended) on the side of Fleury.

From the first seconds of play, Camille Catala places a shot into the box and Maryne Gignoux manages to turn from the foot to the corner. An action on which the players of Fleury lose the ball in their camp, embarrassed by the Parisian pressing. A complicated start with a first goal in the fifth minute, signed Gaëtane Thiney free-kick. A shot on the left 20 meters from the goal and the ball that crosses the surface without being deflected, especially by Camille Catala came to place his head. Surprised, Maryne Gignoux does not manage to push the ball that ends his race deep in the nets.

A first goal to hold on to the score

Picked cold, the players of Nicolas Carric manage to react quickly, they also on set kick. A fault provoked at the limit of sixteen meters on the right, and Julie Rabanne takes care to hit him. His ball goes around the wall on the right and abuts on the left post of Céline Deville before returning to play in the area. It is Charlotte Fernandes who inherits the ball and sends it this time to the bottom of nets (9th).

This equalizer could have boosted Fleury but they quickly cash a second goal. A ball lost in the line thirty meters from the goal of Maryne Gignoux, and Julie Soyer then manages to find Ines Jaurena in the area that marks the head (12th). The rest of the first period sees Paris FC create the best situations but without being able to increase its advantage. Fleury's defense is holding and Maryne Gignoux makes a decisive save against Camille Catala at the half-hour mark.

Fleury left behind the locker room

With this score of 2-1 at the break, Fleury still seems in the game, but the players of Essonne will be picked at the return of the locker room. An action launched right side that ends with a center of Inès Jaurena to Camille Catala at the far post who has time to arm a powerful shot that leaves no chance to the keeper of Fleury (47th). Things get more complicated a few minutes later, with an unobtrusive penalty in favor of Paris FC, and a hand of Léonie Multari reported by the referee. It is Gaëtane Thiney who is responsible for the shoot and she scored a new goal in favor of Parisiennes (53).

If Fleury managed to produce some games at a time, to concatenate passes that allowed the opponent to move forward, the match did not seem to be able to escape Paris FC. To lift one last time the doubts, Gaëtane Thiney scored a fifth goal in the 68th minute, served in depth by Charlotte Bilbault.

The Paris FC which thus ensures a first victory at the end of a match where they rarely let their opponents express themselves. A high laundry, the impact in the duels with an assurance that the players of Fleury will quickly acquire.

The post-match reactions:

Maéva Clemaron (Fleury): "The goal is to be at the fastest level possible"

Nicolas Carric (Fleury, coach): "Learning goes by that"

Camille Catala (Paris FC): "What we want to do is ambitious"

Pascal Gouzenes (Paris FC, coach): "We found what we had worked for six weeks"
