Gérard Prêcheur's first impressions after OL's 1-0 victory on Juvisy's pitch in a late match of the 9th day of D1. The Lyon coach talks about his tactical choices and explains why he is particularly proud of the performance of his players. Selected pieces.

"I think that when we spend 75% of the time in the opposing half of the field, it's because we have not been so cautious. Even though our back line was always at the center line ... We were vigilant of course, we had to be vigilant because the proof, at 1-0, we did not put the second. In the last five minutes, it grows, a kick stopped ... We lived on two games against Paris so, we must be vigilant, but our game was not based on caution, quite the contrary.

So for you what explains why we went from 5-2 Sunday to 1-0 today?
"The context was different. I want to say that it was two diamonds that are diametrically opposed. Magnificent lawn at Parc OL, there it is a District land. I do not want to be unpleasant, I'm happy, we won, we take the first place with Paris so there's only positive for me. So if I say that it's real, it's not a football field worthy of a D1 championship. (...) The difference is there.

The other difference is that Juvisy played at Parc OL. They played offensive, they tried to counter us. (...) I told them in the chat before the match: "We gave them hope with the two goals we took at Parc OL, we must kill this hope of entry. And we need possession and be strong. " And I say, the technical quality of OL this afternoon given the state of the field, I really pull a hat, congratulations to the girls. (...)

They had the control of the ball, the control of the game and suddenly, we had an opponent who did not play at all the same way as Parc OL, so suddenly it was only defending. In the second half, it was almost like the attack-defense and not to cash in the second goal. So yes it's harder to score, to find spaces when you have a block like that of ten players out of twenty, twenty-five meters "

"A good 1-0"
"In the jargon of football, in my experience (...), this is called a good 1-0. Of course 5-2 is good but 1-0 ... I tell them, sometimes we get impatient because we do not score. I already told them 1-0, even if we score in the 80th or the 85th is good matches. We can not, even if we are Olympique Lyonnais, win all our matches 5-2 or 4-0 or 5-0. When we have good opponent (...) Juvisy is a great team, they hung Montpellier. So no, getting to beat Juvisy twice in three days is a great girls performance.

You have different tactical organization choices between the two matches (3-5-2 Sunday, 4-3-3 today). Can you explain why?
"If you noticed, we did the same against Alvadsnes and against Zurich [in the Champions League]. And there on a confrontation, I like because I need answers. You have seen the quality of the players I have, the quality of the squad. So the coach always needs a maximum of answers and indicators to be as wrong as possible.

Because we are going to be wrong: "Why is there one who plays and the other does not? ". So it's so hard to make the choices given the quality of the workforce, it's that I need answers and so it's good to see. And the 4-3-3, I came to Lyon with the 4-3-3 because it is the system on which I always supported myself when I was director at INF [Clairefontaine] we played only in 4-3-3. (...)

If you look well animation, between 4-3-3 and 3-5-2, we find the same triangles, it is the animation after that changes. Our middle triangle, which is almost the most important for our game, is the same. Either head down (a 6, two 10), or head up (two six, a 10) and it is the animation of the corridors that differentiates a lot.

And it's good that the opponent who plays a lot compared to us, can not know how we will play (...) Montpellier, they will not know how we will play, Wolfsburg either. Wolfsburg, I discussed after [the final of the Champions League] with coach [Ralf Kellerman], he was stunned that we played in 3-5-2. He admitted that it had disturbed him. So it's good to leave doubt in the minds of the opposing coaches.
