Last season, the ASPTT Albi won its bet, unlike the other promoted Issy and Metz, ensuring its maintenance in D1. Kim Cazeau, offensive midfielder, who has been playing for 9 seasons, has agreed to answer our questions before this weekend's meeting with VGA St-Maur.

For this second season in women's d1, what are the ambitions of your club ASPTT Albi? On a personal level, what are your goals?
The ambitions of the club are clear: finish in a better place than last season (9th), collecting the most points possible. Personally, my goals are simple: to have more playing time than last year, while working hard to get there and to make the most of my weaknesses, but also by honing my strengths.

During the summer transfer window, there was a lot of movement in your team, what impact should it have on your season?
It's true that we lost a lot of the players who made up the team last year, but the club also made a good recruiting attempt to make up for the starts. We will have to find automatisms, that's why we have been working hard since July 15th.

A first victory during the first day, how would you summarize this match?
A first victory for the first league game is what we needed. Regarding the game itself, we did not manage to create the game we wanted, but we were realistic in front of the goal by registering three, that's what we missed in some matches pre-season friendly. Also to remember, during this meeting the team remained united, despite the new arrivals, which also proves that the recruits have become well integrated into the collective, which is very important for the rest of the championship.

You play in an amateur club, the lack of homogeneity of the championship, what do you think?
Indeed, Lyon and Paris are 2 teams a notch high-top in D1. Then if we look at the results of this weekend, we see that Juvisy was hooked by Saint-Etienne (2-2) and that Guingamp was beaten by Soyaux (1-0). Which, I think, will give a little "spice" in the championship, and I find it no worse. Disrupt the top of the table will surely make the season more interesting for us, the players, but also for all those who follow the women's football.

This week, your opponent is another promoted, the VGA, in what state of mind do you approach this meeting?
The VGA is a team that returns, after 17 years, among the elite. We suspect that they will come to Albi to take points and that the match will be difficult, but we will approach it like all the others: trying to produce our game, which we have not managed to do. last week and while remaining realistic in front of the goal. We will never let go until the last second, to get the 4 points, in front of our audience who I hope will come in numbers to support us.
