The career of a player can reserve some complicated moments to manage or overcome, but the Albigensian Kim Cazeau has kept the cap in his head. Climbing the ladder of football was not necessarily her career plan, but she took a liking to it and she worked hard to be part of it and bring by her game, a bonus to her club and her team. . It was during her first D2 games, that Kim realized that she wanted to progress and play in D1 especially. A goal that has struggled to materialize. After a difficult first season, since the rise of his club where she has done all his scales from the age of 13, she finally gets a titular position in 2015 and Albi is once again in the elite. This 2016/2017 exercise is proving to be a little more full-bodied than in previous years. We wanted to know more and discover the player. Portrait.

Hearts of Foot - We've seen that you've been in Albi for 10 years now, it's your club, you're one of the oldest? You started there with Team B, at 13 years old before going to the first team in D2 two seasons after at 15 years old. It was already traced in your head to go up the ladder with Albi?
Kim Cazeau - Yes I am in Albi since I was 12 years old and I am the oldest of the group. I was in DH and then [two seasons after] in D2. Frankly, no [climbing the ladder] it was not planned. Already, I did not even imagine Albi in D1 because we did not know each other very well, I had just arrived at the club. Playing in D2 at 14 years old was a dream, so after climbing in D1 it was beyond the dream.

Football Hearts - Besides, we noticed that you played either offensive midfielder or attacking?
K.C. - Not too attacking. [This season] the coach prefers to put me on one side because with my speed, I better exploit the spaces between the players of the opposing team.

Hearts of Foot - In 2014 you finally reach the D1 Feminine, it was the goal of the club but not necessarily? How did you live in D1?
K.C. - Well, when I started playing D2 really, yes [it became]. When we had David Welfringer as coach. Even a little before, when I was part of the D2 group, we realized we could aim higher and it's true that the first year David arrived in D2, we had a crazy year. . We had a group at the top and the results that followed so we went up to D1. Now we are there and we hope to stay there.
The climb [in D1] was crazy stuff (laughs). We chained victory over victory [in D2], so it was good and the last match we were already certain to access the D1. Frankly at first I did not believe it. I thought we'll play against Lyon and everything! Because I'm a fan of Camille Abily so I thought, "I'm going to shake his hand" (laughs).

Football hearts - At the beginning of the season, Eurosport had asked all the clubs to predict the relegation of the year, the captain Manon Rouzies had said Metz and hesitated to say Bordeaux, one has the impression that it s' was ready to say Albi or is it just our impression?
K.C. - No, I do not think so. We do not see ourselves down but with the results we have, it trots a little in the head, it's normal. But there with the result of Sunday (victory against Metz 0-1) we say we can do it, because there are games we gave, we made individual mistakes and behind we take a goal. After they are ten in defense and it's impossible to score. Against Marseille for example, you touch the bar three times and they hit once, they score. We were unlucky what. After we started badly too, we take Paris, we take Lyon, so already the morale is mixed. Bordeaux we absolutely wanted to win, we make a stupid mistake, we take a goal and they all finish behind so impossible to return to the score. Again we took a shot and after that is linked so it's not easy. But now I hope we'll get to spend this, for the atmosphere of the group especially, I hope that Sunday it will do it. There's no reason, I believe in it and we all believe it.

"Let's say, I struggled a little to play D1"

Hearts of Foot - According to Manon Rouzies you are an "orderly" and "hardworking" person? Is that something you also want by your work?
KC - (laughs) Yeah, let's say, I struggled a bit to play D1 so that's why she said that, because when there was David [Welfringer] in D2, I played all the matches practically and in D1, he put me a little on the side so I was going to stop the football at that moment. When Adolphe [Ogouyon] arrived, I thought, "Well, he does not know you," so I gave it my all and I had to prove that I had my place. So I worked at the joke and then I play D1, so that's why Manon said that. And orderly, yes, because I like that everything is square, I'm too manic (laughs). My football bag, everything must be in its place, when I leave the business too.

I have to do an internship this summer in a ventilated center because I want to become an animator with the children.

Hearts of Foot - Since your accession you have just escaped relegation in 2015 and 2016. How do you live it to always be at the limit? There's some satisfaction at the finish, especially last year for you, where did you really live all the matches?
K.C. - Me the first year I can not talk too much about it, because I was not there. After that it's true that the second year, it was weird a bit because we start strong, we win all the games and when we lose, it jostles us a little and we realize that we have to get together and there we made the exploit against Montpellier. Because we were bad, we had to win and we escaped. Then we are amateur so it's complicated to be above the area, because other clubs can buy players that you can not necessarily have. Even with our means, I think, maybe not years and years, but we can still tickle some teams and why not be still in D1 next season.
Yes 2016 for me it was a busy season. It was my first year in D1, I scored eight goals, I held every game and in addition we stay in D1 so it was great. It is true that this season is frustrating because when we see what we did last year, we are the same players so we do not understand. We say to ourselves "why do not we get there?"

"to prove that it's not our place 10th, it's not where we deserve to be."

Football Hearts - What is the mood of the beginning of the season? When everyone sees you already relegated to the end?
K.C. - Frankly, we thought we would give everything. We had finished last season, even if we lost the last game I think (2-1 against Saint-Etienne). We made 1-1, we took a goal cap in the end, we produced beautiful game, we were confident. After we knew that against Lyon and Paris it was going to be complicated, inevitably. Do not be fooled what, even if Paris, we hooked them last season at home. But we know very well that they are two very good teams, with very good players so that's why we play, to say that Bordeaux, Metz, it's really the games, we must win. The defeat against Bordeaux, that's what put us a blow behind the head, because we lost only 1-0, and after it took a little time to recover.
Many see us relegated, that's why we won Sunday [against Metz 0-1] to prove to them that it's not our place 10th, it's not where we deserve to be. With all that we did last year, we have quality girls, so we can be a little higher in the standings.

Football Hearts - Since last weekend and your last-minute victory against Metz in return, you are out of the zone, you breathe?
K.C. - Yes to the 92nd, as to go home, it was a crazy match. We're out of luck, we can not score, that's our problem. We do not manage to register our goals. We shoot, there is an opposing player who is on the line, we retry, she is still there or we shoot next, the guard stops ... It's actually, if we marked entry it would be easier, because when you go, it's easier to manage the result than to come back when you're led.

Hearts of Foot - There this season, it is more full-bodied with the arrivals of Bordeaux and Marseille, it makes you more pleasure than evil to the pride of landing clubs supported by men's clubs Ligue 1? For you as a female football player, who has climbed the ladder in an amateur club?
K.C. - That there are clubs like that, I personally like it because it proves that there is women's football everywhere and that we are getting stronger. After that, for a club like us, it's frustrating, because these clubs have more resources and the players have more time to devote to football ... These are names that are more evocative than Albi so when you ask a player to choose, she will be more attracted by these two promoted.

Hearts of Foot - In addition you started the season against Paris and Lyon, you were happy or you blame it a bit?
K.C. - On the one hand, we thought it will be done, Paris and Lyon is played. Then we face Bordeaux, and then in the end we lost against this promoted there. After it's true that it's been three seasons, we're in D1 and the first two seasons, we took that promoted so we would have hoped or liked that it's the same, but it's not always as we want so must do with. Anyway you have to play them in any case. But it's true that starting with wins is better than defeats for the group's morale.

Football Hearts - There you face Marseille this weekend, after a 1-0 defeat at home, it will be difficult to get a result at home?
K.C. - Well, it's complicated because it's at home, but I think that in relation to the field it will be better for us, to put our game and set up our tactics. Because when we received them, our land was not at all favorable for us to really produce our game. We'll have to go like warriors and put the opportunities that we will have at the bottom. You'll have to find a way to get there, even if you score with the tip of the foot, the shoulder, or the nose, no matter how much it's inside. Because it is certain that if we have opportunities and we do not score and they score on one occasion, in the end we can produce the most beautiful game of the match, if you do not score, you will not win. We know that we could have won them when they came [to Albi] so suddenly we are revanchhardes.

"That's always our problem, at all games, we lack a little realism."

Football Hearts - We also know that there is some rivalry with Rodez, it's your derby, it's the match of the year for you? At home you have lost on the smallest margin 1-0, the return match in penultimate day, it will be as intense as last season, where no team had the last word finally of the whole season (2- 2 in the first leg and 0-0 in the return)?
K.C. - No it's not our game of the year, after there are tensions between some girls of both clubs but it's football. I play Rodez, as I play Marseille, as I play Metz. I play every game to win so whether it's Rodez or another team, it's the same. After that it's our derby, Albi-Rodez, Rodez-Albi, it's been 6 years that it's like that. In the first leg, we lost at home, on a mistake stupid in the area, they get a penalty and then goal, while the first 45 minutes, we did not see and we had opportunities, we did not know transform. That's always our problem, at all games, we lack a little realism.
Yes (laughs) because we play the game so all games we know we can win, we have in mind. On these games there will not have to lose points. You have to take the points wherever you can.

Hearts of Football - With a club as financially unprepared as Albi, is it the idea to take pleasure first when we finally play, rather than thinking imperatively to victory?
K.C. - I think it's important to have fun first, because otherwise you can not. Even if we lose, we have the pleasure of being together too and that is what makes us strong. I think it's important to have that.

Soccer Hearts - On a personal note the first season of D1 was complicated for you, you only played 6 games, 1 only as a holder, good after you get the season after, where you are indisputable holder. How do you explain this evolution of staying on the bench before giving for the field team?
K.C. - Yes the first match in D1 as I said, the coach did not take me, and it was chained. I preferred to go in DH, to have fun, to continue to play that to stay at home to do nothing. After as I told you when Adolphe arrived, it was my click, I said to myself "it's now or never, if you do not do it now you'll never do it". Last year I enjoyed, it was really a great year, both collectively and individually.

"If we do not do that, we can not compete with the other clubs."

Hearts of Foot - There you have two new recruits since the inter-season, Laurie Saulnier and Milica Mijatovic, it still proves that you really take seriously your position in the women's football elite despite what we can say, because you are an amateur club?
K.C. - Oh yes that's for sure. It's true that everyone in the club, the President, they really are behind us. They know that if we do not do that, we can not compete with other clubs. They really take it to heart, so it's nice. The President is there at our games, he comes to encourage us in the locker room and he comes to our training. We are also happy to have a staff behind, who holds the road what.
We want to show that we are there, although we are amateur. As long as we can, we will stay in D1 and we will do everything to keep that.

Hearts of Foot - It feels like you're a team that does not take too much head, you're very family as they say, it's something that we often find in women's football, it's the state of mind of Albi club?
K.C. - Yes, frankly, I think that's it. All the girls who went to Albi, what they remember is that, a family. We do not take the lead, we love everyone, except those who break us sugar on the back. We are nice but do not abuse anyway.

Football Hearts - At the beginning of the season you play friendlies against Barcelona (0-2 defeat) and Bilbao (3-0 win), it's still a good memory, it has also prepared you for the season?
K.C. - We've been playing them for two years now. Last year in 2015, we went to Barcelona. I like playing other clubs than those of the D1, at least it brings a little change before the season. It's not the same game, the same physical conditions, it's something else so I think it's interesting and it's always experience to take.
Yes, Bilbao. After that there was not all their good players, but yes it was a good match. It did not really prepare us, because we faced Paris and Lyon of entry. We would have started with other teams, I could have answered you but it is true that there, the two big teams ... After Paris "we believed" a little because we said "they are do not know too much, they all just arrived limit, new coach, we can perhaps do something "but Lyon it was complicated, it's Barca women, they are too strong.

Hearts of Foot - That prepared you against Metz in any case?
K.C. - Oh yes that's for sure, Metz is good (laughs) even if we win at the end of the match. But if we could avoid doing this against all teams (laughs). If we can score before, like that after we are a little quieter, we can manage the game at best.

Hearts of Football - Last season in the match against PSG 2-3 you said that "We must make the public want to come back even more next year in D1!" so he is no longer present this season?
K.C. - Frankly, yeah. Albi for the public is crazy, even if we lose, the fans come back, they are always there to encourage us "go girls, you'll get there." Last Sunday they pushed until the 92nd minute and that's what is beautiful. When we mark, it's the effervescence, we hear everyone shouting, jumping, applauding ... Frankly Sunday was too good. It was liberation, because we knew that if we did not win the match, it would be more complicated. Even the draw, we did not go.

Hearts of Foot - In addition you passed over Bordeaux after that, you are 10th, you go out a little head of the water, this area of relegation or you were entangled?
KC - Yes, after there are three points of Paris that we took on green carpet, we have not the final answer, so for now we are above but if we ever lose these three points, we go back behind...

Football Hearts - Last question, do you keep the hope of staying this season or does it change anything for you to play football in the elite or on the lower floor, even if you try to come back right after?
K.C. - Well I think we all want to stay in D1, there I speak on behalf of the group but I think we would all like to stay there and we will do everything for that. After I think that if we go down, there may be some who will be called in D1, so maybe they will leave. But I think that the whole world will stay in Albi to try to go up in the elite, even if it will be more complicated, because now there are only two hens in D2 and there are only two that go up . But we all have this hope and we will do everything to stay, until the end of this season.
