This Sunday, the VGA Saint-Maur moved to Condé to continue its path in section. At the end of a one-way match, the Parisians won 0-4 and advance to the 8th finals of the Coupe de France.
Condé had already faced the club from the Paris region last year in the 64th finals and had lost (1-3). This weekend, luck still has not smiled the Normans, poorly in the league and for whom the Cup was a breath of fresh air this season. Opposite, the Saint-Mauriennes, also in the hard D1, held their rank without trembling. In this meeting, it is indeed the VGA which quickly takes the ascendant. She carries the danger in front of the first minutes, especially through Aurore Paprzycki, special active with three strikes (2nd, 4th, 11th). Technically superior and master of the ball, the visitors face however a good resistance Condéennes. However, they approach as the first goal, Coralie Lenot seeing his first shot shave the right amount of Lepoultier (17th), before seeing the second being arrested (20th).
In suffering, Condé ends up cracking on the corner that follows. Shot by Lenot, the latter is coming back as the wind is blowing hard on the stadium. Kani Konté, present at the first post, follows and pushes the ball into the net (21st, 0-1). Finally launched, the Parisians unroll. Lenot doubles the placing in the wake of a powerful shot after being alone in the back of the opposing defense (25th, 0-2). The latter goes even close to doubled to half an hour of play, Lepoultier stopping the ball on the line. Still pressing ahead, Saint-Maur continues to undermine the Norman defense and pushes the nail a little more thanks to Melissa Gomes. Well launched deep by Paprzycki, she adjusts the goalkeeper with a shot close to the left post (38th, 0-3).
The VGA continues to make the show until the break, Lenot's shot shaving the left post on a 0-4 (39th) ball, before attempting a chisel just in front of the goal line (45th). Returning from the locker room, Condé shows more bite in this game. Not very visible in the first act, the resident of D2 is dangerous in the second, pushing Amélie Delvallée to perform a first parade in two stages (48th). Behind, it is Mariane Amaro to intervene perfectly to prevent the attacking opponent to leave (50th), before Renard misses a little volley that could finish at the bottom (51). Underwater since the break, Saint-Maur remains solid defensively, repelling a new assault on Renard (54th). At the hour of play, however, the Parisians find their minds.
They push Thetiot to tack on his line to save a shot (65th) before scoring again. Left side of the surface, the replacement of Lenot, Maëva Salomon, returns before placing a missile at a closed angle under the cross Lepoultier (71e, 0-4). Regis Mohar's players manage their end of the match, with Gomes and Solomon nearly scoring again. The second sees indeed a counter against his shot being slammed by the opponent's door (80th). The last action of the visitors will be for Stéphanie Léocadie. After eliminating three players on the previous action, she passes nearly doubling Lepoultier to score but the latter intervenes (90th). Condé will also have one last opportunity to save the honor on a corner, the Norman shot shaving the amount of Delvallée (90th).
Favorite data of this round of 16, the Saint-Mauriennes easily impose themselves in Condé (0-4) and reach the 8th finals of the Coupe de France. The last time they reached this stage, in 2014, they had seen Juvisy block their way (0-4). They will hope for a good draw Tuesday to continue to breathe in the Cup, the maintenance complicated in D1. Condé sees his road to end here and will have to remobilize for the end of the season, the club Lower Normandy still being in the red in D2.
