Born on January 20, 1993 in Mâcon, Cloé Faillant (2nd row, 4th from the right on the photo in A) starts her second season at Le Mans, currently in D2 in the group B. Cloé also knew the D1 with Yzeure and Vendenheim.
Cloé is said to be a generous player with a good technique who does not give up. An offensive player who likes to hit.
She starts at the age of 6 at ESVS Thoissey in Ain. She starts in Beginners. She begins her apprenticeship after the World Cup. She stayed there until Benjamins 2nd year and was spotted by the OL. She spent a day of testing there and went to train with the U13 group.
She plays 3 years in U13 at OL in a boys' championship with an average of 30 goals per season. The first year, she made some appearances in D3 and the second season plays more and put 23 goals.
An episode told by his coach at the time in D3 and U19, Frédéric Strappazzon: "She is an attacker with a good sense of purpose and good moves. She had a high technical potential and a good physical condition but she remained irregular due to a lack of maturity and quite significant falls of concentration. First year of integration in the formation group very noticed with a very good average goals / matches then second and third year more difficult with some injuries and many relapses including a big injury.
After having suffered a long-term injury, she left Lyon and joined the East of France and the D1 in 2012. Dominique Steinberger, the coach of the D1 recalls: "She was in U19 in Lyon. She planned to play in a D1 club. I had been informed about her. Cloé had come as an attacker but soon after I repositioned him as number 6. He's a brawler on the field. With defensive qualities and strong on the marking. She runs a lot and needs spaces. She likes to run. She needed to be surrounded because she arrived very young. Vendenheim was a springboard for her. She had a good season in Vendenheim in the middle. A season of discovery with 13 games played in the Elite.
At the end of the season, Vendenheim goes down in D2 and Cloé takes the road of Allier and Yzeure Allier Auvergne. She starts the start of the season in D1 and then hurts again. Grégory Mleko, assistant coach of Xavier Aubert now head coach of the club remembers: "It is a generous player with quality that is interesting offensively despite his injuries, she is brave to return to this level".
At the end of the season, Yzeure goes down and Cloé takes the direction of Sarthe and D2. A first season where she participated in twelve games and finished in fourth place. This season after eleven days, she is the author of two goals in ten games. Le Mans is currently fourth in group B. The male coach, Christophe Charbonnier looks at him: "Cloé is a quality player who has a remarkable spirit and has suffered many injuries in recent years. But as she does not lack courage she will rebound again for her good and the good of the team where she returned to her favorite position (editor's note: attacking) with happiness ».
For the final word, Cloé concludes: "I have had great experiences and good memories wherever I went. All the choices I made taught me things. I do not regret them. I played at different levels where I discovered several positions. What has slowed me down is my injuries even though I'm happy with my career. If I can do a full season without injury, I think it will help me for the future. I still aim to go higher. "
