At 22, Léa le Garrec already has five seasons of D1 in the legs, and is currently exploding for his second year in the second division with the US Saint-Malo. Best striker of the club, it draws a positive balance of the season, confides on its future ambitions and its desire to be champion of the military world this summer. Selected pieces.
The team is fourth ...
(she cuts) Third tied, tied with Angers. There is only one goal difference between us, if we scored one more goal against Issy-les-Moulineaux we were third.
We miss 4-5 wins to be maintained. We play Quimper for our next game, after we'll see. For the moment we are not too bad, we will continue and we will see what happens. The goal is the maintenance so for now it's ok, but we pay attention because it can go quickly. We had absences at the beginning of the season including five female players, including Justine and me in Korea so we prefer to pay attention.
"To be world champion,
necessarily"
From a personal point of view, what is your assessment?
Well, I knew how to bring the team on this first part of the season. I'm the best scorer on the team with seven goals. I did not necessarily play at my position at the beginning but I used it and I put more goals by being on the right than at my post, in the axis. There I returned to the axis for four-five games. I was also voted best player of the tournament in Korea (military Olympic tournament, ed), that puts in confidence.
The goal of becoming top scorer of the championship in mind?
Frankly I do not pay attention because basic I am not a pure attacker, but today I know that it is the stats that matter so it's important even if in front of me they are all attackers. I want to score a lot of goals for me to be spotted by D1 or abroad. With Saint-Malo in D1? I know it's complicated because the goal of the club is not to go into D1 right now. We prefer to avoid fast climbs like Saint-Maur which is in difficulty, but we have the ambition to rise in the medium term.
Very disappointed, but so a beautiful course, an adventure at the top. Thank you for everything. Silver Medal Still # JMMECoree2015

The objectives of the second part of the season?
Maintain and prepare next season. If we keep up quickly we can also aim for the podium and have fun playing at the top of the table. We also want to do better than last year, for now we are above so it's great.

to be maintained "
Best Olympic Military Player, what are you expecting from this summer's Worlds?
To be champion of the World, necessarily. We have a lot of internships, in February, March and April, and a big internship in May. So if I'm still part of it, it's to be a champion. In addition it happens in Britain, so we can say a little "home". This is my first international competition in France and more, among young people it was always abroad. It would also be really good because my relatives will be able to come, so obviously I hope to be part of it. We'll see …
The selection is entitled to reservists of which I am a part, I started the training in May last year, then we made friends and they chose the ones that were available and at the level. That's how I joined the French military team and I really do not regret, it was really great.
