Facing Soyaux, Maeva Clemaron and her teammates had to be patient to win in the 83rd minute. Author of the decisive pass on the goal of Salma Amani, the midfielder delivered his feelings on this meeting but also on its role within the floriacumois workforce.
What is your feeling about this match?
I think we can break down this match [in two parts]. There is a first half and a second half. In the first period we did not show our true face, we did not play our game, we were not in the right tempo, not in the rhythm, me first. We got a little slap at the break, but that's what we needed. Because we do not like playing like that. In the second [period] we were able to react, to be higher on the field, to play our game, to play the game and to work the highlights against Soyaux etc. Then we had this goal that came logically in the second half.
I also heard that you and Salma [Amani] were asking your teammates to play balloons on the ground. Was that what was the problem in the first period?
Yes it is true that there was a wind a little strong today and we worked another tactical scheme on this match, which did not appear in the end with respect to Soyaux, so he has had to adapt. We had to play in the feet, and we tended to swing, while we have players who are more comfortable when the ball is in the feet. So here we had to talk to each other, that's what we were doing in the field and then the situation was unblocked.
So you told me that in the second half you unlocked the situation. Are it the entries of some players that brought a renewal to the team at that time?
Yes too. In any case, the changes always make the difference. We know that a match is not necessarily won at "11" it is won with the whole group. The changes have revived us a little and brought a little freshness.
In the first half of the season, you have worked a lot on the full-body combinations between you. There with the arrival of Claire Lavogez you need a little review your tactic / strategy game. Did you take it into account in your training?
It's a little different, it's true. But it's the goal of a player, it is necessary that all one adapts [one to the other] it is like that. Now we have two players who have the same profile, Salma [Amani] and Claire [Lavogez] so it's true that they tend to get a lot and keep the ball ...
One persists to want to play in the axis, except that now it is necessary that one happens still to vary more [our game] to play more on the sides, and after to play inside. There in the first half we played too much inside, with a high density and especially we kept too much ball. So in the second half we changed and did otherwise. It was much better anyway.
"It's annoying not to have fun before the break."
What will you rectify before your next match in two weeks?
Our next match is against Lille. We will work the video to see what has not really worked in the first half because it's annoying not to have fun before the break.
It is the cleaning of Soyaux which disturbed you?
Yes, they have rushed us a lot and we are still trying to raise cleanly but sometimes it may be good to jump a line with transversals. After that, you have to be on the second balloon because if you're not there, it's useless. These are the things that will still have to work.
To talk a bit about you personally and your game in midfield, you tried to manage your position, your teammates too. Is it a real challenge for you?
A challenge I do not know. It is a role in any case that I am given so I try to stick to it and then I'm happy trying to communicate well [with my teammates] But it must be done all. Here I try maybe to do a little more, I'm asked but the com it must be all the players who use it.
But we have the impression that you are the player who delays the game of Fleury, because your teammates are a little more nervous than you. That's your role too?
We try. We have to be able to give some tempo in the game. After it's not just me, there's Daphne [Corboz] who also has this temperament and it's good because we're all out it. She is a little more offensive, and I have a role a little more defensive. But it's important because if everyone gets excited, it's complicated.
A few weeks ago, you were summoned by Corinne Deacon to A, and it is perhaps this temperament that had attracted her. Unfortunately because of a previous injury that you had against Bordeaux, you had to forfeit a few days later in full training with the Blue. Are you working to have a new chance to be there?
Yes completely. After I do not know if that's what Corinne Deacon spotted at my place. In any case it's positive [to have been called], it's something that makes me want to continue working, it's motivating. So yes I got hurt [against Bordeaux] it did not come at the right time, it must have been like that. Now I keep working to hope for another chance, next time. Never give up anything, only work pays.
