A journalist for beIN sports, Margot Dumont is also the AC Paris striker in the Honor Division. For Women Soccer Lovers, she took her time to give us an interview.

Could you introduce yourself? tell us about your professional and sports career?
"I am a journalist at beIN sports. I'm 24 years old. Before beIN, I worked for Canal +, Infosport +, RMC / BFM TV, Football365 but also the TV team, among others. I play football in club. I am ultra sporty. I had the chance to play a few D1 women's games two years ago "

What is your vision of women's sport and football more specifically?
"Women's sport is evolving well. We see more and more on TV. The media are much more attentive to the results of the girls whatever the sports. As for football, we are fortunate to have a strong and strong national team that pulls everyone up. We must grow this sport slowly but surely. The interest of the public grows but the women's football still lacks means. It would take a feat of the French team to mark the blow and make a definitive change in mentalities. A victory in a big international competition could boost the development of this sport »

What do you think of the Women's National Team? And his chances of winning the World Cup in Canada?
"It's an excellent team. The change of coach seems to have done the greatest good to all. We arrived at the end of the cycle. They beat the USA recently, and also Germany. This is to say the quality of this team. For me, the Blue can go far. I see them at least in quarters. But honestly I think they will go in the final »

Could we see a Margot Dumont cover the event?
"I do not think so because it is not beIN who has the rights to date"

Are you rather Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi? And why ?
"Rather Messi because his profile corresponds more to my mentality. Far from me, bling bling ... Messi is no longer an artist for me. After that, it does not prevent that Cristiano remains an extraordinary player. It's just a question of the player's style that tips the scales "

Do you play football in clubs when you can? How is Margot Dumont on a pitch and not behind a microphone?
"I am an attacker who does not like to lose. I give myself thoroughly for my team, I do not cheat. I play CA Paris today. In 3rd division. It's nice. I could not continue in D1 because my job took a lot of energy and time. The D1 requires a lot of effort and investment. It was a great experience to play a few games, but it's incompatible with my job »

What is your favorite player?
"I love Eugénie Le Sommer. Because she has a style that looks like me. In addition to powerful of course »

What is your best memory? Your most beautiful memory at football?
"My first D1 match against the TFC, I had entry. It was unforgettable. In addition we won 4-2! "

What advice can you give to young girls?
"You have to play with pleasure and passion. If you play under pressure or because we force you, it is useless. And then, do not listen to some machos who treat you as a tomboy because you play football. It's an absurdity ... "

A woman in a man's world, how does it go on a daily basis? Anecdotes to tell us?
"Everything is going well for me. My colleagues, confreres, players, presidents and coaches are adorable to me. It's a pleasure to be around them. But it took me a lot of patience. You have to prove two to three times more than men. We must always question ourselves and suffer some disappointments and criticisms that are not always justified. This is how. Two things helped me: my rigor and my determination. I am a perfectionist ! I do not count my hours. I like this job. The fact that I play football, that I know this sport, is also an asset "

How do you rate the media coverage of women's football? Do you work for more female football on TV?
"It is progressing well. We see more and more. Les Bleues make huge audiences. It is not a coincidence. The level and the show offered is up to what the public is waiting for. Regarding the D1, when the women's OM will be in D1, ie very soon, the OM / PSG or OM / OL will necessarily attract the eye. These are the kinds of games that can boost women's football. A "classica" will always make a little more audience than another match »

To conclude, Margot what dream would you like to achieve?
"I would like the Japanese to stop killing dolphins. My dream is that animals are lost peace and that humans are a little more human "
