Just after Dijon's 2-0 win against Saint-Etienne, Marina Josserand, the author of Dijon's first goal, gave us her impressions of the game, which could be crucial for the D1 climb at the end of this season.

Very nice victory on our part, I think we have been solid, very strong even, defensively. After we knew how to concretize the opportunities we had. I think we made a good step towards the climb, even if nothing is played, we have six games left, we will have to win them.

We felt that in the first period, Saint-Etienne put you very much in danger, that it was really balanced, after there was this goal, a little that of the rescue ...

Yes quite. I think that after this goal, we were more serene, it delivered us, we knew how to create other opportunities later, precisely because we played more liberated. This goal really did us a lot of good.

About his goal

I am on the lookout altogether. I am, I knew Fatou [Baldé] was going to hit and suddenly I told myself that I have to follow because if the guardian releases, I must be there and that's what happened. I pulled myself out to put it on because the babysitter was not far from taking it back.

This is a reward for you, because since your arrival in Dijon you had a lot of physical problems including cruciate ligaments ...

Three times ... Yes it is a very nice reward and I got hooked, I always continued to work, tried to return to my best level and today it pays by this goal.

It was hard to get up every time, but that's what makes my mind today and I'm proud of it.

We felt a lot of approximation on the part of Dijon before this goal. How do you explain it, it was the pressure of the match?

I would say the pressure a little bit because it was necessarily a stakes match. After the field was also not very easy to play, it was heavy, fat so we sure did not make a very beautiful game and the coach had asked us precisely to try to jump this medium to play in the back of the defenders where there was space. That's what we tried to do, that's why we had a pretty rough game because we tried to play long and suddenly the balloons did not always arrive.

We have seen that you have really tried to play on long balloons in your tactics.

That's it, the coach told us that there will always be space in their backs, so we had to press their weak spot and that's what happened.

It was also felt that you were pushing many of the St Etienne women into their entrenchment to put them through, without losing your temper on your side.

No it was important not to lose, we had to keep our cool and I think it has been successful today, it's true.

There is a nice homogeneity within your Dijon team. How do you explain it because there are new players in addition that you had to integrate?

Yes, and they have worked very well. We have a group that is quite friendly to the new players and there is a great group, we are all supportive and they have very well integrated too.

The experience of D1 players in the collective

Yes we can also rely on these players. They know how to calm us down when we panic a little.

How do you see these next games then because Saint-Etienne will wait for a misstep on your part now to go back in front?

Especially keep your feet on the ground, because it's not because we won Saint-Etienne that we are first in the ranking, we must ignite, on the contrary, this is where it's going to be the harder to manage, now. The matches that arrive. So we will have to stay calm, we play match after game and I think it will be good, I hope.
