Goalkeeper of the match against Reims, Meryll Wenger was very hard on his analysis about this meeting, whose draw was torn at the very end of the match (1-1).

The summary of the match Metz / Reims (1-1) => D2F (Metz / Reims 1-1): Of pride, the Messines equalize against the Remoises

What can you tell us about this match, it was difficult I think for you?
Yes already we tactically changed our game and it put us in trouble on the first half, and in the second half we changed again. I think you could see that in the first half we were not very good and I think that in the second half, we knew how to wake up but maybe a little too late. For our minds it's good that we came back, it proves that we have pride that we get back to the draw (1-1) knowing that we almost won in the end. It's like that but I think we can start again with a draw. The game overall was not very good.

Why are you balancing balloons like this?
I do not know. But I already find that technically we were not very good knowing that it was a synthetic, even if it was raining, we had no excuses, because even they were technically clean. We were not good and I think it was because of that we swayed the ball in front and in the end it was useless so we did not really understand. I would not know how to tell you ...

This is not a match you are going to ...
Hold back. Maybe if we came back to the end anyway. We will come back the second half I will say. After that it's sure that the first half will not hold it at all. I hope we will raise our heads next week against Angers.

I also saw that the coach made you change very often positions on the ground, it's something that I had trouble understanding from my side. It's something that has disturbed you in your automatisms, I think. How did you see him on your side?
As I told you, he wanted to tactically change [our game plan]. So even that disturbed us, knowing that he said it to us at the end of the week so we could not adapt, even if we already had it two years ago (before the first climb in D1) it was a very long time ago. But I think we are better in 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 as usual, these are two schemes where we are better. Because even defensively it's true that against attack with a 6 it's complicated if you lose the ball, we saw it right away it was going fast [the other side towards us].

There is the impression that you have quickly "consolidated" your leadership position but that the rise is not acquired yet.
Yes, let's say we got points very quickly and I think the year will be long because the championship is tight. Moreover we have seen that Saint-Malo had a draw against Lorient (0-0 on the same day) who are last so I think that all points and all matches will be complicated even against the last. After I hope that until the truce there we will win our two matches to go on vacation quietly we will say and come back even stronger and ensure the climb as soon as possible.

We can say that you are the most experienced player in Metz today (with Melissa Godart and Simone Jatoba among others). Did last season in D1 bring you more in your game, your way of analyzing a meeting?
It is true that in Montpellier I won everything and last year when we lost our games, especially the first part season, mentally I took a shot because I was not used [to lose]. I realized what people were experiencing when I was in Montpellier so it's true that it's complicated but it may have hardened me too, it made me grow. After that it's true that this year as we are a young group, I'm a bit of "old" at 23, it's still a little scary (smile). But it's true that there thanks to that, thanks to my experience, if I can bring to young people so much better. I think we all have qualities and we help each other. This year there is a lot of solidarity that we did not put in the group last year at the right time.

I find that there are much different personalities this season from my side, that there is a certain heterogeneity compared to the D1 team.
Yes, but I think we can merge them (gesture of the two hands that come together) to complete each other together, maybe that's our strength today. I think he has a lot of choices too [in the group] which means that we have a lot of qualities. After it is sure that the D1 and D2 is not at all the same level but I think that already the group we have is quite homogeneous we will say.

Me as I told you I was waiting for you in D1 this season so it made me a little weird that you stay. What made you want to stay in Metz? Is it the fact that you want to continue to prove yourself, to improve, to progress before settling in D1?
Already there are many things that made [that I stayed]. After that it's on Metz I feel good, except the climate (smile) I'm still not used. But it's true that I feel good and I told myself that in D2, here I am best scorer currently so much better but already it helps me to regain confidence after last year where I scored that a only goal (against Bordeaux on a lob from the center circle) where even for us it was difficult offensively. So I think that it also allows me to regain my self-confidence and to be able to show my quality. After that I sure will have enjoyed replayed in D1 but I hope we will go back to be able to do it next year.

I know you're friends with Marion Torrent (she smiles), I was talking to her today, she is in France A team now. Is this one in a little corner of your head on your side?
It's true that we always think about it. After you must already think [of his performance] in club because it is thanks to the club that we go in France team. Let's say it's good. I already work to be in D1, to hold with Metz, to be able to make the maximum of matches and adjust my quality too. Now if I can have the France team too, I will not say no, that's for sure, no one will say no. It's a plus and it's mostly a reward for the work [we provide]. I know I have to work for, but we still think about it. I am young and I hope it will come someday.

You score the goal of the equalizer so you have to be satisfied anyway?
You did not come to the best match. But yes it's sure [I mark] we are satisfied. I'm not satisfied with my first half. After sure we made a very big first part of the season, and with the quality of play, so it's hard to [continue on the same rhythm]. I think that we have slack and then the winter comes and everything there ...

I saw that you were also interfering a lot with Valerie Sanderson, one of the new summer club rookies.
Yes yes but after she does not have the same game at all. She plays a lot in front and it's true that it's complicated for us because she's really a high-tech player. After we start to get used to it, knowing that it has changed a lot [offensively our tactics] with Léa [Khelifi], Maureen [Bigot] all that, we are not at all the same so we have to adapt too but we are not [in the same register] that's what we try to do.
