By hanging a draw against OL, last week, the Montpellier have proved that they had indeed crossed a course. Yesterday in Grammont, they were imposed, not without difficulties, in the last minutes against Nîmes (1-0).
The Nîmes defense has something to be proud of, after a rather rough start to the championship, Gaëlle Gayton and her team-mates held the Montpellier strikers in check for 80 minutes.
A derby always has surprises, even when it is against the red lantern at the 2nd rank! While everything seemed to indicate that we were heading for a draw, which had a serious impact on the MHSC for the podium race, Laëtitia Tonazzi scores and delivers her team-mates!

Very leggy since returning from injury, the former attacker of Olympique Lyonnais allows his team to maintain his unbeaten championship, while holding the PSG and Juvisy away from 2nd place, synonymous with qualifying for Europe next year.
With only 1 goal conceded in 12 games, the MHSC becomes the best defense of the championship and should, unless bad surprise, settle comfortably on the podium to enjoy the holiday season.
Note that yesterday, the coach Jean-Louis Saez, had aligned a 11 reworked to let some of its executives blow and give play time to the youngest.
