At the end of the season, we now know all the teams that will participate in the national accession phase, the dams that will determine the teams from the regional championships (DH or Inter-Regional Division) who can join the D2 next season. The two teams that finished tenth in the group in D2 also participate in the play-offs.

The national accession phase will begin on June 4 with two sets of two return matches until June 25. Twenty-four teams involved, the sixteen champions of DH or inter-regional division to which we must add the six best second.

In certain regions, teams of D1 teams (Lyon, Soyaux, Guingamp) or D2 (Yzeure) have finished at the top of their championship. As they can not access the D2, it is the second team in the standings that takes their place for the dams.

To these twenty-two teams, join the two teams who finished tenth of their group in D2 and who therefore avoid direct relegation to try to get their support in this phase of national accession. This year, Lorient and Clermont find themselves in this situation.

At the end of the first round of home and away matches (4 and 11 June), the twelve winning teams qualify for the second round, and after this second series of double-confrontations (18 and 25 June) , the six winning teams are qualified for the D2.

Among the teams present, eight played D2 last season and were among the eighteen teams relegated with the reform of the D2. Hénin-Beaumont, semi finalist of the last Coupe de France, Arlac-Mérignac, FF Issy, or AS Nancy-Lorraine, will try to climb again this year. More generally, a small majority of teams in these dams have already experienced D2. This is not the case of the OGC Nice, which could follow in the footsteps of the neighbor of Marseille to the highest level.
