For his second successive year in D2, OM will climb in D1 at the end of the season. The victory won Sunday against Le Puy, gave him the ticket for the elite. Back on this accession so dearly acquired.

"The goal of the club is to go up each season," said Christophe Parra four years ago. OM were far from the national divisions and the OM coach had just joined the project. A project put in place at the time by the sports director José Anigo who left the club in 2014.

A detection was organized to create this senior team which joined in 2014 the National Division 2. Missing since 1986, the women's OM has gradually reformed since 2011.

A long way from the District of Provence that the Olympian team discovered in 2011, through the Honor Division Challenger in 2012, Honor Division in 2013, and two years of D2 from 2014 to May 2016.

Thanks to her victory against Le Puy with goals scored by Barbara Bouchet and Amandine Blanc, Christophe Parra's players are sure to finish first in their pool. The Olympians are still undefeated this season and can aim for the title of champions of France.

Vincent Labrune, president of OM did not miss to salute the performance of the Olympians on the site of the club: "This is a historic day for the women's section of Olympique de Marseille. For five years, this story, constructed with wisdom, without burning the steps, has been an exceptional human adventure. She brought to the club many satisfactions and the accession of this day is the most beautiful. This day is a ray of sunshine in a complicated context »

Indeed, the boys struggling in Ligue 1 to a few days of the end, the accession in D1 of girls brings a clearing on the dull sky of Provence.

Tasty duels await Christophe Parra's girls next season against PSG or OL. Expected in boys, no doubt that these confrontations will also be in female D1.
