Paris FC won on the smallest margin against ASPTT Albi on the occasion of the 11th day of D1. A victory obtained thanks to a goal from Anissa Lahmari on corner, in a meeting where the players of the Paris region had many unconverted opportunities late in the game.
It has become almost obvious but Albi appears as a team difficult to maneuver. In the last 9 matches of the ASPTT, only Lyon managed to put more than one goal to the Albigensian team. A stat recalled by the coach Théodore Genoux after the meeting, and which was verified this afternoon in Bondoufle. Paris FC was certainly clumsy in front of the goal of Gabrielle Lambert with multiple opportunities, but Albi was able to be tenacious throughout the game.
Back to the competition for Paris FC and Aïssatou Tounkara
On the field of Bondoufle, Paris FC found the competition three weeks after its last match against Soyaux, a long break due to the international truce and the postponement of the match against LOSC last weekend. A return to competition with that of Aïssatou Tounkara, present in the group of Pascal Gouzenes and returned a few minutes late in the game, his first appearance for three months.
In attack, the Paris coach had chosen to evolve with Gaëtane Thiney positioned at the top, and Anissa Lahmari in number 10, a position usually occupied by the Ile-de-France captain. A choice related notably to the absence of Clara Matéo and Ami Otaki, while Mathilde Bourdieu started on the bench. A choice that can also be seen as an adaptation to the game of Albi, which has evolved very low and leaving little opportunity to play in the depth and the back of the defense.
At the beginning of the match, we also witnessed a form of attack / defense with Albi's team threatening against, situations well brought by the players of Albi but that does not lead to real opportunities. Except for a poorly-negotiated free-kick (9th) at the limit of 16 meters on the right-hand side, Paris FC has few dangerous situations, stumbling on the Albigensian block, with the indefatigable Yvonne Leuko Chibosso in the oven and the mill in front of the Tarnese defense.
Anissa Lahmari gives the advantage to Paris
In the 25th minute, Paris FC managed to open the score on a corner. Struck right side by Gaëtane Thiney, the center of the Paris captain finds the head of Anissa Lahmari. The ball hits the crossbar before bouncing back behind Gabrielle Lambert's goal line. An opening scoring that allows the PFC to loosen once the vice that seemed well in place on the Albigensian side.
Subsequently, the Parisian players will get two new opportunities to score by Gaëtane Thiney (32nd and 44th), who sees each time Gabrielle Lambert intervene to prevent Paris from taking the break. After the break, Pascal Gouzenes made the choice to evolve his team, with Marina Makanza positioned at the top, while Gaëtane Thiney returns to his usual position, with Anissa Lahmari who then evolves right side.
At the beginning of the second period, the Paris FC is again close to shaking the nets, it is first Camille Catala who sees his recovery deviated corner by Yvonne Leuko Chibosso, on a good center of Inès Jaurena right side ( 49th). Then Gaëtane Thiney shakes the crossbar on a shot at 20/25 meters from Albigensian goal (52).
Albi stayed in touch
This lack of success allows the Albigensians to embolden themselves and to press the Parisian women higher. A lot of solidarity and replacements / permutations even allow Albi to make some forays into the opponent's area, especially with the cross shot by Pilar Khoury in the 57th minute. With fatigue, however, Albi seems at the mercy of an adverse acceleration. In the last half hour, opportunities will multiply in front of the goal of Gabrielle Lambert with several balls recovered by Paris FC in the Albigensian camp. But often, strikes will miss (sometimes a little) the frame. Charlotte Bilbault crosses too much her shot (65th) as well as Mathilde Bourdieu, come into play in the place of Marina Makanza, and who twice (70th and 89th) misses the target. When asked, Gabrielle Lambert is also on parade against Mathilde Bourdieu (75) and Camille Catala (90).
Always in contact, Albi did not have the resources to go to worry Karima Benameur and achieve an incredible hold-up. On the pitch, the impression remains encouraging for a team that had always yielded by at least three goals apart, during his previous three trips to Essonne.
The post-match reactions:
Anissa Lahmari (Paris FC): "When we look at the content of the match, we could have done better. "
Pascal Gouzenes (Paris FC, coach): "We need to be better in the collective control and the elimination of the opponent"
Théodore Genoux (ASPTT Albi, coach): "Against any team, you have to believe it. "
