On the occasion of the 18th day of D1, Paris FC and the Girondines de Bordeaux were neutralized (1-1) on the lawn of Robert-Bobin Stadium. If the Parisian players had the best chances of the meeting, Bordeaux had the advantage within a few minutes before seeing the Parisian return to the score in a lively end of match.

Before the kickoff, both teams could approach this match with a similar approach. Separated from a point in the standings, respectively fourth and fifth, Parisiennes and Girondines had a beginning of year 2018 where the points were more difficult to take than at the beginning of the season.

Paris FC are still in pursuit of their first win of the year in the league, the last on December 10 against Albi. For Bordeaux, only one victory in 2018, also against Albi and points left en route against teams in the fight for maintenance. In the end, the two teams occupy the first part of the table but today are not mathematically immune to the maintenance.

Another similarity between the two teams, the absence of several players like Camille Catala and Aïssatou Tounkara, following injuries and who followed their teammates from the stands. On the Bordeaux side, Ghoutia Karchouni, Erin Nayler, captain Sophie Istillart or Juliane Gathrat were missing.

A first locked period

In the first half, the match remained closed with few opportunities on either side. For the detail, a head of Kathleen Sousa on free-kick, easily picked up by Karima Benameur (7th), a powerful strike of Mathilde Bourdieu in the surface (14th) who fails to hang the frame or a decisive return of Mylène Tarrieu while Marina Makanza was preparing to hit the goal (42). A very lean record but which is especially the reflection of a first period where Bordeaux managed to neutralize the game in the Paris region including the midfield.

Solène Barbance and Julie Thibaud have managed to cut most often the relationship between Gaëtane Thiney and Anissa Lahmari and minimize the influence of the two offensive circles in Paris. Sarah Cambot is also at work against Inès Jaurena, positioned in front of the defense. Well organized, the Bordeaux team has not managed to reverse the danger to the opposite goal. For both teams, ball transmissions to the opposing side have been barely missed, limiting the chances of appearing in front of goal.

Bordeaux cash before opening the scoring

After the locker room, Paris FC gradually takes the ascendancy. A better face and changes that densify the midfield, with the entries of Léa Declercq then Sophie Vaysse. Declercq who also hits the crossbar, with a direct corner that bounces off the top of the bar before coming back into play (64th).

A few minutes later, Alizée Nadal repels a strike by Marina Makanza served by Gaëtane Thiney (67th). In the wake, the Paris FC is close twice to open the score on corner by Annaïg Butel then Charlotte Bilbault (68), two players associated in central defense for this match.

Attempts ensued for Paris FC, with a shot by Sophie Vaysse who found Nadal on his trajectory, then on the corner after a cover of Butel (73) who plays the frame. Bordeaux seems, at this moment of the game, close to the break but it is the Girondines that will open the scoring.

In the 83rd minute, Nadjma Ali Nadjim shoots a sudden shot at about 20 meters on the left. An attempt that surprises Karima Benameur and finds the way to the nets. A goal came from nowhere while the Bordeaux attackers struggled to find the right formula to get closer to the goal in the second half.

The Parisian jolt

Led to the score, the players of Paris FC throw themselves towards the Bordeaux goal. The strikes are linked again, initially unsuccessfully for Sophie Vaysse (84) and Ines Jaurena (85). The opening is finally approaching the end of regulation time on a goal from Clara Matéo, came into play for the last quarter of an hour.

A goal brought to a center of Julie Soyer right side and found Marina Makanza at the far post. Makanza put the ball in front of the goal to Clara Matéo who scored despite a defender on the line trying in vain to deflect the ball out of the frame (89). Paris FC returned to the score and could have even taken advantage a few moments later by Charlotte Bilbault. Her head is pushed back on the line by the Bordeaux defense (90th) and with the last alert in front of the goal of Alizée Nadal.

Unlike the first leg, Paris FC will not manage to snatch victory in the final moments of the match. This draw (1-1) thus maintains the positision and FC Paris remain in fourth place. A symbolic position that the Parisians could preserve in favor of a more favorable schedule, but a goal that passes by successes that for the moment continue to elude the players of Paris FC.The reactions of post-match: Charlotte Bilbault (Paris FC): "Overall, it's far from an accomplished match" Pascal Gouzenes (Paris FC, coach): "When you only play a half-time ..." Sarah Cambot (Bordeaux) : "Keep yourself and be safe as soon as possible" Jerome Dauba (Bordeaux, coach): "Everyone has raised their level of play to get this point" Line of matchDimanche 1 April 2018, 15:00 - Robert Stadium -Bobin (Bondoufle) - D1 - Day 18Paris FC - Girondines de Bordeaux: 1-1 (0-0) Referee: Camille SorianoButs: Clara Matéo (89th) for Paris FC; Nadjma Ali Nadjim (83) for the Girondines de BordeauxWarning: Estelle Cascarino (71) and Julie Soyer (82) The teams: Paris FC: 16-K.
