The 16th round of women's D1 ended on the derby between the two Parisian teams of the elite. This is the third time this season that the two teams compete, and the third success of Paris Saint-Germain. A big 4-1 win this time against Paris FC, which reduced the score in added time.

For this match, Pascal Gouzenes had lined a defense to 5 with Elisa De Almeida, Anaig Butel, Estelle Cascarino in the axis, Léa Declerq and Théa Greboval in the corridors. On the side of the PSG, Ashley Lawrence moved higher in the left lane, with Laure Boulleau behind in a lateral position.

A first penalty pushed back

As is often the case this season, the Paris FC players have held on to PSG in this first half. And this, despite a first warning of entry on a center of Kadidiatou Diani, very close to the goal, and Karima Benameur must deviate. But the PFC responds tac-tac with a center Greboval deflected for a corner by Erika. The Essonniennes will continue to be present in the opposing camp, including left side, with Mathilde Boudieu and Théa Greboval who brings the excess. But the centers are countered, or it is stopped without much difficulty by Christiane Endler, as this striking Bourdieu lacks conviction (5th).

In the minutes that follow, the match is balanced, but Paris Saint-Germain will have to face the premature exit of Laure Boulleau, touched in contact with an opposing player. The Parisienne gives way to Sandy Baltimore (18th) which has the effect of bringing down Lawrence a notch.

Speaking their top speed, Patrice Lair's players are quickly projecting forward and will begin to seek out dangerous opportunities. It is on a fast attack that they will pass close to unlock the score. After a ball recovered in midfield, Eve Perisset Marie-Antoinette Katoto launches into the depth. A little eccentric on the right side of the surface, Katoto provokes and will even get a penalty, after a slight fault Estelle Cascarino. Jennifer Hermoso then tries to convert, but his shot is missed. An attempt that lacks power and Karima Benameur can push back in a corner (34th).

Katoto, still and always

At the half hour mark, Annaïg Butel will return in-extremis on Katoto. Perfectly launched by Aminata Diallo, the young French infiltrates the solid surface, well left to challenge Benameur face-to-face. Then, on a corner of Hermoso, Marie Katoto sees her too crossed head to flee the frame (34th). But, the danger is not removed for a long time. On a new corner of Hermoso, a scramble occurs in the area while the Essoniennes try to clear the ball before Erika. Finally, he returns to Katoto who concludes in force (40th). As in the previous two derbies this season, the attacker of PSG is at the conclusion. Except this time, a goal will not be enough!

After the break, Paris FC continue to try their luck. In the middle, Gaëtane Thiney often finds the right offsets, especially right side Clara Matéo. But this little something is still missing in the last act to convert into a real goal opportunity. At the hour of play, on a defensive error of the PSG players, Mathilde Bourdieu does not go far to recover, and probably equalize. Fortunately for the Red and Blue, Endler anticipates and throws to extend from foot to touch.

This strong Essonian time passed, the PSG takes over and makes the difference with its speed on the sides with Diani-Perisset on the right and Baltimore-Lawrence on the left. Author of a beautiful entry, Sandy Baltimore does not go far to make the break, on a strike at the right post of Benameur, that the door of the PFC out for a corner (63). But she will find the flaw five minutes later, on a Parisian counter that she takes on the left side, then she puts in the axis on Diani. The international tricolor seeks the striking position but having no angle of fire it extends on his right towards Katoto. This last center then in front of the goal, where is Baltimore who had followed well the action and can cut in front of Benameur (69th).

Bourdieu saves the honor

Visitors will begin to sin physically in this end game. PSG - and especially Marie Antoinette Katoto - will take the opportunity to weigh down the brand. A new penalty is whistled in favor of PSG, this time Katoto takes care of it and turns it into a perfect counter-foot (72nd). The opportunities continue to chained, but neither Diani head on a center Melike Pekel (75), nor Marie-Laure Delie on a shot hard-hijacked by Benameur (79) will score the fourth goal. The best French scorer of the championship, she will not fail to afford a hat-trick, converting into goal an opposing defensive error. On a bad pass behind Clara Matéo, Katoto intercepts and goes dribbling the keeper of the PFC for 4-0 (82).

A new defeat is looming for Paris FC, but Mathilde Bourdieu will still find the net in extra time, a cross shot. What save the honor, and give a little confidence before moving just as complicated on the side of Montpellier next weekend. The Héraultaises who remain six points from PSG, which will receive Fleury for another Ile de France derby.
