This Friday, February 5, Paris Saint-Germain hosted Olympique Lyonnais at the Charléty stadium for the 15th day. Unfortunately the game will have offered a draw 0-0. Back on this meeting.
The Parisiennes had to show another face against Lyon than the one in the first game lost on the score of 5-0. From the beginning of the game, we feel different intentions on the side of the PSG, although we will note selections not used this season.
Leading the Paris attack was Shirley Cruz, who could rely on Cristiane, repositioned on the left side, and Anja Mittag on the right side. In the middle was Jessica Houara who replaced Caroline Seger, injured.
Choices that have been winning in the sense that Paris has conceded no goal.
Let's go back first to this first half, dominated as a whole by the Lyonnaises. The first real chance came in the 23rd minute when left-back Amel Majri hit left foot and saw Paris goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger push the ball off the post. The first wick is lit by the Lyonnaises.
Parisian women react in the 37th minute. Launched in depth by defender Sabrina Delannoy, Anja Mittag tries to get ahead of the Lyon defense, but the German attacker is embarrassed when shot by Griedge M'Bock. The ball ends quietly in the hands of the keeper Lyon, Sarah Bouhaddi.
Before the end of the first half, the Lyonnaises will return to the charge but without success with a head of Eugenie Le Sommer who passes next to the cages of Ann-Katrin Berger in the 40th minute.
The first half ends with a sad draw.
Much more is expected in the second half, especially from Lyon's attacking trident composed of Ada Hegerberg, Lotta Schelin and Eugénie Le Sommer.
We will not be far from the first goal in the 60th minute when after a free kick by Louisa Necib, the French defender Griedge M'Bock and the Swedish striker Lotta Schelin, miss by turns the ball that ends up being deflected by the Parisian guardian on the pole. Despite the failures of the two Lyonnaises, the ball would have ended his race in the back of the nets if the German guardian PSG was not attentive.
Then, almost nothing to add ... A defense attack between Lyon and PSG. A sterile Lyon domination and a Paris game much 'too' focused on defense.
Note however that in the 89th minute, Anja Mittag launched by the French international Kheira Hamraoui is sandwiched by the two defenders of Lyon, but the referee will not whistle penalty. A regular action with, admittedly, a physical game but not to the point of whistling a penalty.
The match ends in this draw, 0-0. A score that in the end suits both teams.
Paris Saint-Germain moves away from the title because there are three points difference between the two teams and especially a goal-average particular to the advantage of Lyon (5-0, 0-0). However thanks to this draw, PSG keeps all its chances of finishing in the second place of the classification because the Parisiennes have the advantage to the particular goal-average against Montpellier (0-0; 1-2). PSG is in any case well started to maintain its place in the Champions League next year.
Lyon have conceded a second draw this season, a rare fact in a season, but that should not prevent the Lyonnais to win a tenth title! The only danger will come from the shock against Montpellier which will take place, this time, on the ground of Lyonnaises. Meanwhile Lyon has 56 points (+87), the PSG has 53 (+40) and Montpellier is in third place with 49 (+33).
The championship of France does not end at the 15th day, but we wonder who will be able to compete with Lyon again this season.
