Paris Saint-Germain returns without two attackers after the truce due to end-of-year celebrations. North American striker Lindsey Horan and Swedish striker Kosovare Asllani terminated their contracts with the PSG until June 2016.

The two starts had already been mentioned in recent weeks, now it's official! The capital's team loses two offensive elements at a key moment of the season, before the two decisive matches, first against Montpellier (17 January), then against Lyon (5 February).

Lindsey Horan (75 matches, 53 goals) and Kosovare Asllani (78 games, 45 goals) have been effective attackers when looking at their stats; however both had lost some of their influence in this 2015/2016 season.

Lindsey Horan was still very often present in the eleven and managed to score a lot of goals, 6 in 9 games, and we can add 2 goals in 4 Champions League matches. While Kosovare Asllani had scored just 2 goals in 6 games and barely more than 200 minutes of play, a very very minimal game time compared to last season when she had accumulated 17 games and 13 goals!

Both players also leave for different reasons. Lindsey Horan returns home, the United States, to be eligible for the North American selection to compete in the Rio Olympics this Summer. Lindsey Horan joins the American Portland Thorns franchise.

Here are the few words of the attacker in press release on the PSG website:

"Evolving at Paris Saint-Germain for four years, with many internationals and a fantastic staff, helped me a lot. I thank the club for this great adventure. I think I have accomplished a lot of things here in Paris. I have lived four extraordinary seasons with many beautiful memories in this club. The fans were great with me, they always supported me, "Lindsey Horan.

The reason for Kosovare Asllani's departure is more enigmatic because there is no official reason. However, it is quite legitimate to be able to find a reason for starting the fact that the Swedish player had a hungry play time this season.

The first game of 2016 for PSG will be this weekend against Albi in the Coupe de France (January 10). A first meeting without Lindsey Horan nor Kosovare Asllani, a first test for young Parisians who will be on the bench as Ouleyemata Sarr or Marie-Antoinette Katoto.
