On the eve of the match against Juvisy we traded with Sabrina Delannoy, a Parisian who has always evoked this poster of D1 Feminine, but also young and his teammate club recently, Amandine Henry. Interview.
This derby how you prepared it, how do you feel about Juvisy that you will play twice in 10 days?
In addition to being a derby it is a crucial match for the rest of the season so it's a meeting where we will bring all our concentration, our application and we know it's a decisive match so it takes take it as such and you have to prepare as such.
Even if you know Juvisy well, it's still two very different clubs that play against each other tomorrow. A pro team against a semi-pro team with a double project and this future merger with Paris FC.
Yes of course we have two entities with two different projects. After Juvisy demonstrated that this project has borne these fruits and that it also allows the players to lead a "double life", to have a professional project in parallel so it is values that they defend and must respect that too . After Paris Saint-Germain has a completely different project, which is really professionalizing for the players. What I just want is for our championship to be more and more homogeneous and I hope Juvisy will maintain his level with this state of mind there [not to go pro].
"It will also allow us to evaluate at which level we are clearly"
After your mishap in Montpellier, you are quickly back on the right foot, there you will have a big month of March in the Champions League with Bayern coming. It's a real challenge waiting for you?
Yes it's a turning point of the season clearly, we have big appointments. It will also allow us to evaluate at which level we are clearly because it is true that we had a failure against Montpellier, which made us lose important points. We have a good run in the Champions League so far, we want to go after this competition so this period will show us where we are the Paris Saint-Germain women today.
"the OL Park match will be decisive for the title"
Saturday there will be Montpellier / Lyon before your match against Juvisy, it will be an important match for the rest of your season too. Is this a match that you will follow?
I did not ask myself the question (laughs) so it's to tell you that we are simply focused on our results. We always hope to recover our points and if it is the case we have our destiny "in our hands" so we sure have an eye on the results of Lyon and at the end of the weekend, we look where we are at the level of the ranking and the result of each team. But we also know that our strength is to focus on our game, our strengths, our weaknesses, to work on it and once again I hope we will recover our points, we will stay in the lead of the championship and that the OL Park match will be decisive for the title.
You face them twice in ten days, does it change anything for you (in league and cup)?
(smile) not frankly for us it changes nothing. We are also happy to have this derby twice in a row because it's high level, high intensity matches. In the Coupe de France it's going to be our first big game against a D1 so that's good because it will put us in the level of intensity that we will have against Bayern Munich. So for us it's a good draw, there's no problem with that.
What are the strengths of Juvisy if you had to present your opponent according to you?
Bah Juvisy is a team that never lets anything go, we've seen it many times, it's an athletic team, which also works with young people who have huge potential. I think that if these young people continue to progress and break through, it can be a team that remains in the high table. It is a historic team of Women's Football. It has always been a particular match when we play Juvisy / PSG so we know what intensity we will have to put to win.
Juvisy had a mixed season in the league but against the big teams, they have always managed to catch their opponents. How can we explain it? Are you expecting a match that could be as difficult as against Montpellier (0-0)?
Yes, of course, because we know that Juvisy is a team that manages to tilt their minds in big games. They know that to stay at the top level of women's football, you always have to be successful in the face of big teams. Maybe when they play against mid-teams or down the table, they release a little pressure but their strong point is that it is to be present in the game. big appointments and that's why they "always exist" at the top of the ranking.
We know that you followed the course of the Bleuettes, last year, what did you think? They won the Euro, after they made a very good run in the U20 World Cup.
Bah me I already appreciate the young people who are at Paris Saint-Germain and participate in these competitions there. These are young people who have huge potential and a huge raw talent. They are lucky today if we compare a little with our own generations, to evolve in the biggest clubs and with some professional infrastructures. So they are so lucky to be able to live this at a high level so I wish them the best and what I'm waiting for now is that the senior French team can win titles as it has been the case with young people .
"I learned a lot in the shirt of the France team."
Was leaving the international a way for you to gradually disinhibit Football? Your contract ends at the end of June, it's your last season at PSG?
No I would not say that, not disinhibit myself but simply start thinking about conversion, to invest myself in other projects that are close to my heart. The team of France is an adventure that takes a lot of time because we are often traveling and more when we are there we must really invest 200%. So it was really a choice to prepare little by little for the future, to be able to invest myself in other things where I thrive and as I already said, I would be the first supporter of the Blue ones to the Euro. I learned a lot in the jersey of the France team.
Frankly it depends, to be honest, I do not have the answer today. There are days when I think I must stop and I can not stop, I must continue. The answer is still not clear in my head so I will think about it quietly. I'm going to focus on the goals we have with the club and I'm going to look a little bit at all the cards around me and once I'm asked, and have thought, I'll make my decision in due course.
With Amandine Henry, how is it going, she adapted well to her new team and your game?
(smile, laughter) Yes bah Amandine [Henry] I've known her for a very long time because in addition we are from the same region so Amandine is, it's already a girl in Gold, it's a girl with huge values. No matter which club she passes, she will invest 200%. She really is a player who wears the colors of her team very high and then she has a huge talent so she will have given us a lot and I hope that until the last game she will play with us, that she continues as it.
Last question, Grace Geyoro in A, is it a pride for Paris Saint-Germain to have a young person who evolves at the highest level of Women's Football?
Yes it is a pride because here it is a young person who comes from us. Grace [Geyoro] like that she has a really huge potential and she plays like this, she was already 25 or 30 years old so it's really a strength to have young people like that, character and talent in a club. We must continue to make progress and keep them at home as long as possible.
