It was a moment rich in emotions yesterday in Bondoufle, since it was the last match of Sandrine Dusang with FCF Juvisy. A meeting that closed the season of the club Essonne on a good note, with the victory 2-1 against Marseille. A final confrontation also against Sandrine Bretigny, who had announced the same day to retire too. As a wink to his friend, since the two players had played together in Lyon, Juvisy and France A team. So they decided to end their career together, Thursday, May 25, 2017.
Soccer Hearts - A special day for you?
Sandrine Dusang - Ah clearly, it's a very special day. It was necessary to take a maximum of pleasure, to smile, to take care of the people who surround me, my teammates and the football. In addition, there is the victory at the end, we take our revenge against Marseille so it's a beautiful day. It was also the last of Sandrine Brétigny who is a friend of very long date with which I lived many things.
Football Hearts - What is your assessment of your career?
S.B. - I think I can be satisfied with my career. I had the pleasure and the pleasure to play in Team France, to go through Clairefontaine, to play OL for nine seasons, to get lots of titles (Championship, Coupe de France, Champions League). Frankly, looking at the career that has passed, I'm satisfied. Football brings something crazy. Even if I stop playing, the passion will always be there and I will continue to follow it very closely. I'm really happy to have been able to live this kind of thing, no matter which club I've been to.
Hearts of Football - How do you see this last season in Juvisy?
S.B. - We can not hide it, it was not a good season for Juvisy. We did not succeed in doing what we wanted. I think this is the worst ranking of the team so far. It was a very complicated season, but we have the weapons in terms of individuality. He missed something at the collective level, it was hard to find himself. In terms of performance, we could not hope better this year. It hurts to let the first places go. In any case, I hope that Juvisy will start on a new dynamic, succeed in reviving and come back to titillate big teams.
I made the decision to stop without being aware of the merger. Clearly, this is a historical page of the club. It will be something new, it will bring freshness. The Paris FC will probably bring fresh blood too, something new and perhaps another structuring. It will bring a plus to Juvisy. Hope this new challenge will allow the club to return to the front of the stage.
I think yes. Juvisy has always made sure to evolve, to progress from season to season. The club did it's maximum in terms of infrastructure. I think it was necessary to find a men's club that can bring new things at the level of management, speakers but also financially. I think it was inevitable for Juvisy, especially as some clubs continue to evolve. The goal is to get everyone up and this project was to answer that.Hearts of Soccer - How was the confrontation against Sandrine Brétigny in this match?
S.B. - It was something that was not programmed. I knew Bret was going to retire just two days ago. We shared so many things, both in sports and in personal life. In the end, it's more than a friend and honestly, it's almost my second sister and to be able to do that with her, it's something very special.
If I had been able to choose, I think I would have asked to finish my career with her but I did not dare (smile). In the end, chance makes things right.
Hearts of Football - In this match, we had the impression that Marseille could have taken the advantage. How did you do to remobilize?
S.B. - With a team like Marseille, we can be had. They tend to defend a lot, to let come and actually there have been a few occasions a little hot, especially after the equalizer because we felt they were going to put a 2nd. But everyone wanted to do well today and it was out of the question to give up, to end the season. Without being selfish, I think the girls thought of me. But hey, we had the resources to score a second goal and the victory comes back to us.
Soccer Hearts - Both goals of the game were scored by youth. Is the arrival of a new cycle? Do you give them some advice?
S.B. - It's inevitable, the wheel turns. If there are players like me or Sandrine Brétigny who leave, it is inevitably that there are young people who arrive behind. Otherwise, I would have dragged again telling me that I would be in the galley all the time, but that is not the case. We see that there are interesting players. I am very happy to have trained with girls like this and nothing to do, it taught me to teach them. It's really rewarding when you see girls like Aïssatou Tounkara, Théa Gréboval ...
Soccer Hearts - You almost scored a goal today. It was your goal, I saw that Julie Soyer had you a little intoxicated about it (a bicycle)?
S.B. - It would have been a nice gift but I was not that close. It was not really my role. But to return to the young, Juvisy is well off on this side. The defenders are with whom I exchange the most, since this is my job. If these girls continue to work well, they will have a lot of potential in the coming seasons.
Football Hearts - Will the club stay in Bondoufle next season, with the merger that comes with Paris FC?
Finally, the Bondoufle stadium is nice. But this is not a stage adapted to football, just like that of Charléty. I always have a little trouble with the stadiums that have an athletics track, I think it removes a lot of proximity [with fans]. If we could have a stadium just for us, it would be better. I will not have the right but it would be great for girls and that is where the development of women's football will pass. It's details but I think it will work.
