On September 24 in London will be held the ceremony of "Best", the annual awards given by FIFA to reward the best players and players, but also the best coaches on the planet. As of today, FIFA reveals the lists of 10 nominees in each category, starting with the award for best coach in women's football.

Multi-titled technicians in a club
Among the names selected by the jury selected by FIFA, we find familiar names beginning with Reynald Pedros, the coach of Olympique Lyonnais, a club that has once again won the Champions League this season, with a spectacular final in overtime against Wolfsburg. If OL did not manage to achieve the treble this year, teammates Wendie Renard continues to reign over European football.

Stephan Lerch, opponent of Pedros and Lyon in the final of the Champions League, is also in this list. Succeeding Ralf Kellermann on the bench of Wolfsburg, Lerch managed to achieve the double Cup-Championship with the Louves, in a Bundesliga which continues to appear as the championship of reference and especially the most relieved of Europe.

Emma Hayes is also part of this list and could be title contender this year. She led Chelsea to her first European semifinal, while winning the Champions League double in England, with a team she built and led this year while waiting for two twins she gave birth to end of season, while Chelsea validated the title in FA WSL.

On the other side of the Atlantic, we also find Mark Parsons in this list, the Portland Thorns coach who won the 2017 NWSL title, a success that was played by Amandine Henry before returning to OL l last winter.

Titled coaches on their respective continents
The other nominees are national team coaches and coaches, like Asako Takakura who won the continental title in Asia in April with Japan, or Sarina Wiegman who won the title of "The Best 2017 "after leading the Netherlands to victory in the last Euro.

Alen Stajcic, associated with the rise of Australian Matildas in recent years is also in this list, as well as the coach of the Spanish Roja, Jorge Vilda. Back at the head of the Brazilian selection, winner of the Copa America in the spring, Vadao is present in this "shortlist" as well as Martina Voss-Tecklenburg, coach of Switzerland and who will take the lead of the German selection at the result of qualifying for the 2019 World Cup.

This list of 10 nominees was concocted by a jury of 12 people including Mia Hamm, Sun Wen or Nadine Kessler, each of whom has in their own way marked the recent history of women's football.

Like last year, the public has the opportunity to take part in the vote, a participation that will be counted up to 25% in the final count, equivalent to the votes of the coaches, the captains of each national team and selected media by FIFA. For the public, the vote is organized from July 24 to August 10 via the FIFA website and the three finalists will be revealed before the ceremony in London.
